2025 ARMORTEK KIT SURVEY
Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.
So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.
We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.
Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.

Re: David's carrier build.
Hi Phil, I have had no problems with the tracks on the UC apart from throwing then off the front idler wheel when execution tight turns at speed in reverse. I am running a twin motor/gearbox configuration which will revise one of these tracks when making tight turns. Tuning the transmitter and reciver to remove the reversing of the track when turning has eliminated this problem.
When measuring the inside of the tracks when curved to the same radius it takes when on the sprocket the pitch of the opening that the teeth engage in is appropriately 6.3mm so the pitch of the sprocket is probably correct for the tracks.
I am also running the UC with the full number of track segments in each track as per the build instructions with no problems.
Regards
David

Re: David's carrier build.
Hi Phil,
Mine ran much better on the pins and seems to engage on the sprocket OK. Now I have the 2 motors in going to be able to drive it more so will keep you posted. Might also be mine have bedded in too.
Might be worth running it in before you mod?
Best regards
Dave

Re: David's carrier build.
I do like the little carrier Dave, I will be happier when it's on two tracks. The tracks are very slack with 162 links and when it's fully loaded it will sit lower and so a couple of links will need removing, there's no slip of the sprocket without any load so fingers crossed we are getting there, the brakes work using just finger pressure on the linkage!

Down to 154 links on mine. Apparently they were known for throwing tracks.

Re: David's carrier build.
Hi Phil,
You have just made me take the tracks of my UC and check that I have the correct number of track segments making up the tracks as I don’t have the same amount of slack in the tracks.
I have the correct number of segments in the track and to make the final connection I have to have the open links on the sprocket and the wheels on the ground as it is a tight pull to close the gap.
From the photo with the track in the air the single wheel is held a long way down by the springs which I have to pull up to close off the tracks.
Regards
David

Re: David's carrier build.
Hi David,
Mine is very similar to yours and initially took a bit of pulling together. They have stretched a fraction since but no where near the slack of Phils
Cheers
