we used the BV's in our MRVs. They were M113's with the scorpion turrets. good work Dave. if armortek do 113's i'll get a bv.

The BV looks so good it could stand alone on a nice Mahogany plinth.
Open or closed.
A gentle reminder of good (and not so good) times gone by.
We used to build iconic items and models from the power station.
They would combine personnel memory's and a general feeling of belonging as a leaving or celebration gift.

Hi Dave,
The BV lead looks perfect with those yellow sleeves.
For others who did not crew, yes, the BV was mounted in the turret and only required a lot shorter lead. It was that length so that crews could put it out on the turret roof when in harbour positions, and then put on the commanders cupola so you could get the mugs under the tap.
BV up on top whenever the tank was static would be quite realistic.

Hi All,

Reasonably happy with how the flexi mounts are now casting. Still very slow setting compared to our normal resins and tear if I try and demould too quickly. That aside I think they will be available for sale very soon.

Just need to confirm before I make the parts that the Clansman should be the earlier type horizontal wing nut aerial retainer like Larkspur rather than the later self locking one on the Mk6 (shown)?

Correct, Dave, horizontal wing nut is correct. All looking great. On the Larkspur ancillaries, will you still be able to do the headsets as well as the breastplates and mics? Stephen

Yes should be able to. Might need to add a bit of your webbing but can still do the main components.

Hi All,

Not far off finishing the "Bone Dome". A little more work and it will be ready for priming and then moulding. The Ear Cups will be seperate and I've done the lining so they slide on with the head, seems to work and just enough tension to hold everything in place. I've added some interior detail so they can be used off the head too.

Dave, fabulous work.

I'm a non server but several years ago a wise ass relative bought me a "surplus" bone dome for Christmas, tongue in cheek to go with me driving Armortek tanks. Anyway - with the real thing to hand, I can honestly say that your reproduction is pretty darned good. Well done.

Is it just me or does that Stephen White figure look very sinister...……… reminds me of Captain Black and the Mysterons….. (no offence Stephen).

Hi All,

I am going to try and get the BCF bracket finished this week then onto the Gun mount. Decided today to modify one of our British Tanker busts to something more modern. Suitable as a Driver for those who don't want to chop a perfectly good figure to bits.

For those that may want to know I dip the end of the Bone Dome chinstrap parts in a shot glass of boiling water just before I fit the head. This softens them enough to bend wherever I want them to sit
