At this rate you are definitely going to finish it before me.
Whilst you are at this stage may I suggest fitting the turret turn bearing, spacers and gear to check if you have interference problems with the rear bulkhead. Most of us had to make slight modifications to that bulkhead.
Vince
P.S. As you said that you reversed the rear bulkhead than you might be OK.

Thanks Vince, I am expecting some issues with turret bearing fit but will cross that bridge when I come to it which won't be long

As the engine will be on show and therefor the engine hatch would be open a lot of the time I need to detail the hatch inside and out. Would anyone have a really good photo of the inner hatch detail please? I have line drawings but no decent photo reference.

surprisingly a fair bit of detail inside the engine hatch, from early to late Tiger, it took me a while on my sturmtiger, especially if your going to have the hatch open, the net as always supplied my info, regards simon.

Thanks Vince that's just the job , Simon you are not wrong it's a lot of fidley work that hatch and all the detail has to be scratch built!

Well Vince I don't think I do enough, I still have that milliput to do which will take days! The boss keeps ordering gucci parts to
so I must plod on, we are discussing the full turret interior at present, that will mean a custom elevation gubbinz but sure would look cool, lets see, there's still a lot to do and I have not even looked at that beautiful Ivano Maybach engine yet!
I normally have Sunday off but have been getting other parts ready for next week....we love it don't we?

Will be interesting to see the custom elevation system. I am not doing anything in the interior so I will be using the kit supplied one and will be counterbalancing the barrel for smooth operation. So I guess no recoil due to the interior detailing.
Ivano's engine will be a project on it's own and it looks very detailed.

That boosted up the engine hatch, when something has a hatch open you can't help but look inside, regards simon.

Phil
Loving this build! How did you replicate the 5 bolts on the drivers visor armour?
