Hello Paul,
Hello Graham,
thank you for your nice compliments. The weathering is a very time consuming process, but it is worth to do it. So take much time to do it!!!!!
Here are some more photos of weathering parts ( side skirts and engine room ).

Re: Martin's King Tiger
After weathering the bottom plate and the side plates i turn the hull for mounting the new motors into place for the room management of the new electric components. But here the shock: the new motors have another pattern of holes, so i have to dismount the adapter rings to drill new threads. At this point of destroing the ready weathering side i will correct the wrong armored rings in front of the hull.

Here everything is ok again. The armored rings are in the correct position with the origin dimensions.

Re: Martin's King Tiger
in the meantime i modified the batterie tray, because the batteries are very heavy ( 14,2 kg - each! ). Also the loud speakers gets some holders for better integration under the hull plates.

Re: Martin's King Tiger
now i start the integration of the mechanical parts and the motor with the motor room plates. But first i have to fill the motor at the underside for the Ensat bushes, because it was hollow!!!

Re: Martin's King Tiger
after painting i start with the zimmerit, but first i scratch the metal surface to give a better hold for the Milliput and make some welds again.

Re: Martin's King Tiger
Hi Martin, lovely work and lots of attention to detail as unusual, The only thing I have just got to mention is the zim, the pattern and thickness are very good, its the edges that don't look quite right, you have smoothed the edge to finish the section neatly, but in reality the the coating either had flaked off or has been dislodged due to small arms and shells breaking large pieces away leaving a torn edge.
You can achieve the torn edge by using a blunt tool to break the edge whilst the filler is in the process of hardening, or if it's set then a gentle heat to soften and then break away the edge, just my technique ....keep up the excellent work regards Phil.
