It dries rock hard & is a bugger to get off if you stuff it. It can chip if knocked with something hard but general handling it is robust.

Hi Jason
I think I did a picture for Bob not long ago,where I mixed some
pva glue and dunkel gelb paint.
It turned out great,slightly stronger from the start and coloured.
A nice creamy mix is easier to work with.but not so creamy it droops.
Samples of straight Tile cement Zim and my coloured mix have now cured over time
a lot more than when it first dries and a finger nail doesnt go in.
the mix with the pva glue cured to this stage quicker.

I see that it is moving forward even for you. I also have a Tiger 1 late production
2012-020 that gives me much pleasure.

There are many ways to do zimmerit. I myself have been using Wurth Vaku 60 metal spatula.
it is placed directly on bare metal and is then very hard.

Phil that's a good idea using PVA. I have used PVA diluted with water to make 1/35 flags from tissues which works well. I might try adding PVA & water to what ever brand of "sheet-rock" I have or perhaps as a top coat.

Your Tiger looks great in your Zim and camo,
nice pictures and I like the hinged deck and your controls layout.
Their has been a few posted now,so I have plenty of options
when i get to installing mine.

Thanks guys. I think the more that post the more people see the various options that can be combined. The hinging of the deck has greatly assisted the conundrum of where to place pieces when working inside the vehicle.

If my layout is replicated by others then I feel I have given help to others as a return of help given to me.

Your Tiger is getting more spectacular!

I like the cabinet hinged deck idea. It looks the cabniet hinge used are different from the common types (which can't be used on thin plate such as the tank's deck and side panel)found in hardwares shop. Where can it be found?
