Re: T34/85 25th Guards Brigade No 234a
Thanks Mick
I only do a bit each evening after work and weekends.
Like last night I was just doing the welds round my new Tow hooks that I made, plus
2 cans of Magniers and a bit more studying my books.
Are the bolts for your Comet wheels the extra detail that you are adding?
Cheers

Hello Phil....yes, I am addng all the fine detail that got left behind in my hurry to have the Comet ready for the 'shows'.
Bolts, welds, etc,. I do not plan on going beyond the 'Victory Parade Comet'.
I feel quite satisfied with the build so far, and these final details will take the next few months.
Have you watched the 'open day' video....all those models.....made my head spin, maybe next year....Mick

Tow Hooks
Had a go at making myself some Tow Hooks
I cut them out of some old Heavy duty Industrial sliding door track brackets and fited to steel
plate,so they will easily stand up to towing.
Just working on the "U" Bracket and spring bit now and I will fit them.

The hooks like great! Will you or anyone you know possibly be marketing them for those of us with limited tooling?
Re: Panther
A similar question regarding the three screwed torsion bar inspection plates on the Panther hull and access plates on the bottom?

Tow Hook
Thanks very much guys
It took a few hours to hacksaw out of solid, grind what I could with a hand grinder
and file the rest, because I dont have any machinery or casting skills and equipment
either, but I get the urge to take up the challenge.
Bill
If you see Brown's postings he is having some cast,I cant remember whether out of
bronze or brass and they will be bolt on and working.
I had already started mine so I finished them, just the spring bit to do.
Cheers

Are the mesh fittings part of the kit?

Mesh
Hi John
Yes the mesh is supplied as seen,Its nice stuff, just a bit of filing to fit.
Like a lot of the other fittings there seems to have been several style of
mesh or bars.
For the rear part the one goes on top of the other.
Cheers

I think I posted some photos of these from the Kalamegdan T34s. Your build is going very quickly. Would love to see my Tiger gaining some pace. T34 v Tiger production.
