Hi Adrian,

Nice looking tank but I bet your left testicle that it is something else. ;)

Hi all,
In order to stop me wasting any more time staring at an unfeasibly shaped camo graphic each time I log on, I thought I’d give this a go.

Given Mark’s new found skill with christie suspension, my guess is that is the flat back of a T34, with a rather well disguised turret.
Assuming the turret is to be fabricated rather than cast, that narrows it to a type 76. Looking at ease of manufacture, the early 1941 turret looks as difficult as the infamous Porsche KT, so my guess is it's the later 1943 version.

Phew...now I can move on to the rest of the forum....

Well that hardly seems fair - why not bet one of your own :?:

But I do think you're right :D

Adrian.

David,

Yes, I think you have it.

Didn't early T34-76 have large boxes on the rear fenders?

Adrian,

I think you are safe (for what that is worth :D )

It's very funny. While we fantasize about the new Armortek model,
Gill and Mark already know what will be. There is an entertaining thriller.
As happened with the Comet.
We know very well: the virtue of the modellers is to have patience.

It is very long and looks lowish - if not a LVT how about a DUKW?

Dont pay to much attention to the shape of the cover, remember its all done electronicly and may not follow the actual vehicles outline.

T-34 would be a sound commercial choice.
But the digital tarp looks like a VT-34!

The more I look the more I think Mark has indulged a wish expressed in the past for something big.............

A Mark I male with 6 pdr guns and rear steering wheels.......

Particularly as one at Shepton was getting a lot of attention.

Sorry Fabrice, perhaps next time?

Stephen,

You may well be right! The TM would be very happy.

Has been thinking hard on this new release now when it has become a competition... :D

Please forget all my previous speculation.
This is Kent’s guess in the competition:

I think it will be a BergePanther Ausf A (the early A with the letterbox MG slit)

Image

As an option as the Porsche turret was on the KT a "normal" Ausf A deck + turret will be available to those wanting to build an Ausf A (or D) Panther.

If I am wrong this might be a good suggestion for a future release...

Cheers
Kent
