fitted the steve winstione hatch, and he made me a jacking block and mounting brackets for the king tiger, all steel, wing nut,and very strong,we all know how good his work is,amazing! simon manning
I borrowed this tool for squeezing the rivets in the front mud guards, used in the aircraft industry. Makes it so easy, turned the tiger over and painted the underside and panniers. Altered the bump stops and fitted the jack block, also added some texture to the underside.
I have made the rear deck breather/vent pipe, for the right-hand side.
Not sure of its purpose?
I will have to change the rivets in the front mudguards as they are too big.
I am going to camo the tiger, but thinking on what scheme to do it in...
Hi Simon,
Always enjoyable to see your superb KT, and have learned a lots of idea.
In your Oct 24 post, the 1st photo shows the opened turret's rear hatch. There is a notch on the 10 clock position, and a cable handle stay(?) on 11.
Can you give some descriptions on them? Thanks!
Lerh Chang
Simon,
The rivets look perfect to me - if that is any consolation! I wouldn't change them unless you absolutely have to have them exact! Your weathering on the wheels is looking awesome. Overall a beautiful KT, I can't wait to see the camo you choose.
I have applied some more details to the wheels and made the strengthening bars underneath the front mud guards. I dont know what era the camo is on the wheels, but just liked it.
Wheels (and everything else) look superb! Your paint/weathering is always so perfect. Love the camo and colors. I can only imagine how good the whole Tiger will look when finished!.
best regards
Tim

Hi Simon
I love this build,
The paint work looks great and the details are first class.
If its half as good as you Tiger 1 you had at the open day
it will be one of the best KTs out there...
Hi Simon.
Keep going i like it and was wondering when someone would have a go at this pattern, now you have got the green going over the top of the basic light and shade it is looking very good stick with it.
Cheers Paul
Love the strokes with the brush, makes it look like falling leaves. I think that's what the German's intended. Looking forward to seeing the complete Tiger II painted
Thanks for sharing,
