Looks like you had a good day running. There are quite some achievements with both the scratch built Sherman by Clive and now a scratch built Chieftain from Ian. I would verymuch appreciate some more details on these tanks. The Sherman firing pictures also look great
When i was working on Antonys panther, i made a charge to release a small amount of gas in exaust, then lite it on start up, very nice, but as they say DONT TRY THIS AT HOME

Hi All,
The first of three video clips:
Second clip of Clive's Sherman firing. Believe me the sound is a lot louder than it is on the video.
Thanks Antony

Nice videos and photos guys! The Cheftan really tears up the sod - just like a real tank. The Sherman is awesome - fantastic build.
Heres a real Sherman firing. It looks to be a ex-Israel Super Sherman gun, 105mm?

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the comments and your vid. What amazes me is the little recoil, if at all, the 105mm barrel has. I know the vid is a little shakey but the barrel doesn't appear to recoil much at all. Is this because it's a blank Compare this to the Jagdpanther, which was also firing blanks:
I know our videos don't sound very loud but I can tell you when you're not expecting the bang you still jump
Just order a load of blanks for our next meet and contemplating a few smoke grenades too
Thanks Antony

Antony,
I'm sure its a simulator round, or blank. Still makes a nice bang though!
