We had not planned to run a survey right now, but looks like there is an appetite for one :-)

List the top 3 models you would like to see in the survey, and we will try to get one out in the next week or so. No promises that all the suggestions will make an appearance though.

1. CVR(T) Scimitar, with option for Scorpion. Smaller than a tank but marginally bigger than UC or Hetzer. Lots of variants, lots of operational service. Scimitar for two reasons - it fits with Chieftain (Scimitar was the recce vehicle in Chieftain armoured regiments) and it has the longest service. Scorpion was phased out when a toxicity problem with the 76mm was discovered. Both types saw operational service in the Falklands and Scimitar in the Balkans and Gulf Wars.

2. Cromwell. Got to be done sometime, the most important British tank of WW2, if not the best (that was Comet, a product improved Cromwell). Cromwell saw service from Normandy to the Baltic and proved the British could design effective tanks. Keep Steve Stuart company too.

3. Matilda II. Lots of variation on operations - Far East, France, Western Desert. Of the two VCs won by British tank crew, one was won on Matilda II.

All three available at Bovington for reference.

No apologies that they're all British, it must be time after US and German offerings?

1) French Renault Char B1
2) Italian Semovente da 75/18
3) Cromwell or Comet

You could plan a fact and data finding 'vacation' to France or Italy for numbers 1 and 2; I'd bet such a trip would find favor in some of the halls
at Armortek...

Runners up would be
1a) Luchs
2a) 38T
3a) M13/40

Of course ANY half-track may be substituted at any time for bonus points...

Be different.

Jerry

No love for them in previous questionnaires, or just the current situation ?

Adrian.

I agree with Muttley but how about a big bugger......a one off 1/4 scale, say a Panther so it's still big but not unmanageable it would fit on Armorteks machine centers? If that doesn't sell then I will eat my hat!

AMX13...or something French, we've never given our French colleagues any love.

Also, it's gotta be time for the CVRT guys to get their moment.
