Moving along, making the swivel clamps for the sleeves.

The clamps have two main parts, it looks like the clamps were all the same size despite the barrel being tapered, the joint gap was simply smaller at the narrow end and wider at the thick end

Cable ties stand in for the webbing for now, they will easily pull the material in to give the desired effect, the stain is water based and as it dries the impressions in the fabric will be fixed in place, well that's the plan.

I found this 5 mm edging which makes for very nice webbing, primer and top coat works great, I wonder if 100 metres will be enough?

The detailing in your mantlet cover and thermal sleeve is really something. In some of your close up photos, it’s a struggle to tell the model apart from the real thing.

and as for those needlework skills…….no end to your talents!

You just have to cut the various parts down to achieve something that looks and functions like the real thing just a tad over scale or they will be to fine and fragile to work

Got all my house work done this morning whilst the 3d printer produced a perfect rifeling sleeve for the 105 muzzle, I love my 3d printer and I think I want it's babies !
One of Vinces drawings......this was originally drawn for the Chieftain's muzzle but just needed resizing down a little.
