Well, I'm sure that a Löwe is a model that has only a few proponents, but I like strange model types that nobody has till now in 1/6 scale (besides scratch builds like this giant 1/4 scale monster).

Considering the interest in WWII German armour, the number of Tiger I production runs, I’m always surprised how few Panther (and derivatives) or even panzer IV production runs there have been.

Simon, very happy New Year. The Pz IV has remained a rare beast in Armortek circles. It was in many ways the most important tank to the overall German war effort, in both quantity and development. So yes, another run of Pz IV would be justified if there was demand.
I don't think the same can be said for Panther and derivatives. Although it hasn't had the exposure the Tiger has had, there have been at least three Panther runs and one for the Jagdpanther, two if you count the universal kits. I guess it's a difficult call for Kian and the team to know whether the demand is there to support the costs of design and tooling, with a model which has already hit the market.
Which leaves all those many AFVs for which not a single example has appeared in the Armortek catalogue. There are stlll a lot of important and numerous types which might be commercially successful. That's not to get into a debate about why the WW2 Panzers are so disproportionally popular.
In the end, I suspect the two most important considerations for Armortek would be: will the model appeal to both existing and new customers and is there an example accessible to Armortek from which to make the design. Can't now remember if Panther or Pz IV were even an option on the last customer survey.

In the past I've tended toward larger AFVs when working in smaller scales. Now that I've embraced 1/6 scale smaller vehicles are equally appealing though I will never give up on out sized machines having Armortek's King and Jagd Tiger models. I do have a Maus in 1/10 scale and even in that scale it weighs 56kg. I can't imagine having a model like the Löwe that requires a semi truck and trailer to move; woe to the owner if that puppy breaks down in a field somewhere...
I'd go along with a JagdPanther, 251 or even a 38T if that is in the cards past the Churchill. Then again there's my favorvite: the Italian Semovente da 75/18 that made a decent account of itself where it operated. Or a real stretch the Semovente 105/25. One can dream....
I wouldn't complain at a Cromwell or Comet re-issue...

Only look at the second-hand market, how often does a Panther come up on that market?
Not so often, I know.

Well, at Hausen you can see quarter scale models weighing 400 kgs and more, and there is no bigger problem to move them or to carry them by family car. Therefore I suppose also an 1/6 scale Maus would make no difficulties when transported.
IMHO Tiger and King Tiger are the most wanted tank models at all. All other models have their enthusiasts depending on the country in which they live. In Hausen one may see up to 50 models in 1/8 to 1/4 scale, but Panther and Jagdpanther are somewhat rare. My non-Armortek Jagdtiger was the only one from 2014 till now (existing two in Germany over all), but some Leopards and Leopard varieties like Büffel could be seen (scratch builds); all made by an german enthusiast.
