PS there is a good chance they give you the screws for those outer hex nuts and they aren’t in the drawing.

Also don’t forget to chamfer the sprocket teeth.

I have gone through instructions there is a bag of 64 M2x5x6 which is perfect for the outer sprocket ring.
M2x5x8 will also fit so if there are enough I can use them.
Unfortunately I as need them 48 of them to bolt the road wheel pairs together I don't have enough spare.
So I will buy some extra.

Hi All

Sprockets done dry fitted together so can be taken apart for paint.
I think fitting the nuts bolts to the front looks far better than the glue in one's, not that you will see nuts at the back of the Sprockets..
Now to clear my purpose built bench to start the hull

Nice build, i'd like to have spare time to work on mine too..

For (true) position/ orientation , the nuts were tightenend from the outside, on both sides of the sprocket (castle nuts).

But as long a sit is quite hard to find "scale" nuts, able to withstand the stress, install as per Armorterks book is definetly ok !

Nice build, i'd like to have spare time to work on mine too..

For (true) position/ orientation , the nuts were tightenend from the outside, on both sides of the sprocket (castle nuts).

So in order to make the sprocket in a correct position, could nuts be tightened from the outside like the real Panther's sprocket ?

Have you trial fitted a track link on your sprocket, I seem to recall that the track horns run close to the inside face of the sprocket rings, so you may find that the nuts on the inside will cause a problem. Regarding your original concern, the glued dummy bolts on my jagdpanther have lasted for years without a problem, so for me the armortek proposal is not a problem to worry about.

You are absolutely right clearance is unfortunately to tight even if I machine down the nuts..
2 hour's I won't get back on the build front
I have ordered the loctite glue that Armortek recommends so see how it works out.

Starting on the suspension assemblies, looks like you need to partially build them in step 9 in order to fit them in step 3.
What could possibly go wrong
Paints, thread locks, arrived so can now get on with all aspects of the build.

Hi All

Managed to dry fit swing arms and axles all need a slight debur 3 of them need WD40 bench vice and a bit of work but nothing to bad.
I need a bit of help..
Do you use red/blue loctite on the swing arm grub screws?
And I've found that alxe side where the torsion bars fit into with 2 grub screws are all facing in different directions so fitting/ tightening the screws might become a problem?
Circled the part on the manual.

Re. the problem you had or have with the sprocket bolts, on my JP I used the Armortek dummy stud/nuts which were glued in with permanent Loctite. To get a good key for the paint, all parts of my model were sand or glass bead blasted in my blasting cabinet and none of these dummy studs (either on sprockets or wheels)were displaced by the blasting nozzle's fierce sand stream so I don't envisage any problems with them falling out in use.

Here are a couple of pics of said sprocket. I expect you already know this but if you click on the image it enlarges to full picture size. You can follow my JP's progress in the Jagdpanther section titled "2022 new build JP".

Hi All

Fitting small suspension bushings,all needed deburring and 3 did not fit needed drilling out with an 8mm drill bit and sanding with some 400 grit paper.
Now on to the swing arm suspension Bushings.
Then dry fit all to the suspension carriers and hull floor.

This is how tight the guide horns run to the back of the outer sprocket with the nut bolts reversed.
