Today I have made a start on the armour sides, basically cutting the large plate into the smaller plates much like the real thing. I find when you are doing such modifications it often seems like you take 3 steps forward and 2 steps back, the knock on effects can be troublesome but you work your way round them.

I have managed to get the fuel tank to fit, the rear has been loosely fitted together to check the fit, I have taken the measurements for the large structural timber pieces that make up the rear ( Phil I will send you those tomorrow) Phil has cut me the planking so I can now get on with that.

Wood work, Jesus must have had the patience of a saint being a carpenter! 8)
Phil has cut and supplied the timber for the rear body.

The timbered rear structure is just about done now, the wooden tool/kit lockers are next on the list. 8)

Finished the rear woodwork my ar.e! We have found more photos of similar vehicles in question so we can now add even more of the units unique features along with even more detail. 8)

Looking great Phil, I see what you mean about the double front wheels. It certainly makes the front look more purposeful!

This time I think the rear really is finished, well just the recovery hooks to make and fit tomorrow then onto the tool/kit boxes and then the crew armour. 8) the boss wants detail!

I'm so glad that you like it Phil as you have to look at it every day when it's all finished! I think it's very close to Tigris. I'm not keen on woodwork but I have enjoyed this aspect of the build. 8)
