Hi Simon,
the Zimmerit around the cone head bolts are also very tricky :D :D :D

Martin,
Excellent work on the zimmerit. I think milliput makes the best zimm, but not the easiest stuff to work with. Looking great!

Thanks - you are absolut right - Milliput makes the best Zimmerit.

The mud scrapers are welded onto the hull.
And the Zimmerit is also done on the other side....

Now all Zimmerit is done on the rear side.
A little bit weathering and some exhaust soot on the underside of the track plate.

During mounting of the covers for the sprockets i saw, that the cone head bolts are a little short. Only 1mm longer as the thickness of the cover - after mounting the safety tab washer. So i decided to short the bolts about 3mm and use a distance bolt with inner and outer diameter of M3. Also i countersunk the covers with dia of 6mm to hidden the brass bolts. So it will be no problem to screw the cover onto the sprockets.

Now it is time to make a construct for the batteries and the loud speakers.
Therefor i cut some steel bars and L's for welding a frame mounting on the lower side walls.

After mounting the battery frame it looks like this.
The front part is ready for Zimmerit, the diamond plates are bonded and the holders are screwed on.

Hi Chris,
thanks for the nice words. Now the Zimmerit is done onto the front.
I couldn't help, but i modelled the same welds for the jacks like Steve, remaining to the Ferdinand before.
Also seen at the Bovington Elefant :D :D

now i was adding some small screws at the diamond plates. After the first coat of paint, the Elefant looks completely different.
