It is not usual for the machine gun to have a servo set up to move it, though you could do it yourself if you wanted to.
I believe you already have an audio for it on your 3 position selector switch.

As for your 'Police Elephant, I'm sure I saw a film, Possibly with Dan Akroyd as one of the 'stars', where they busted into a building with a light tank, painted Police dark Blue with white 'Police'. On the end of the barrel was a sign saying something like NY POLICE.

There's lots to play with on that theme, your Local Canadian or RCMP scheme;, US ATF, Sheriff's Dept, SWAT schemes. The world is your Oyster.

Its YOUR MODEL, do what you want with it. :P 8)

So funny man!! BAHA! The Dan Akroyd reference is on point! You are thinking about DRAGNET, with Tom Hanks!! I remember that movie well.. haha!

Actually.. I have a George Clooney, and Matt Dameon on the way, as well as a Bruce Willis. Brad Pitt is already in the tank..

I think this movie is going to be the next best summer movie ... in 1.6 scale.. haha

I was really expecting fire somewhere in the video, especially when you fired at the truck. 240 lbs, wow!

@chang thank you for the idea on the inner bracket to help support the Cannon Elevation Servo. I also did this.. and it is very effective :) Next.. Battery Straps of some sort, or a frame for them to sit in.. they slide around on the climbs and decent.

Aaron, I love it!

Have you made a plan for the main gun already?! I know you had been searching for information about paintball markers.

Would it be allowed in your country to put a flamethrower on the tank?

Hello Brian!!

Good memory, my friend.. and yes - I am eager to investigate a paint ball setup, and possibly airsoft for the machine gun. But, I am getting ahead of myself. I have never done this.. but can see how it is feasible.

I can see how an air canister could be mounted inside the top structure, strapped to the side. I could see re-routing the air hose into a barrel, that is inside the cannon (if this is possible). I would have to remove the LED's to do this.. and would still want the recoil action. I can see fitting a servo to fire the trigger. but it would be a limit switch, I think ... To only fire one paint ball at a time.

I can see fitting the paint ball container opening, to one of the hatch doors, for easy filling..

Now.. will this all work?! Will this happen?! Time will tell, but I am thinking about it! A Tank SHOULD shoot something, hey?! haha :)

If you are in the U.S. and can play with fun things that go boom...

Look into Simunitions...

You can convert a lot of readily available... stuff... to fire simunitions. And they are ballistically way better than paint balls when it comes to using them in a scale vehicle. That could easily handle 9mm Simunitions.

Though made for training... they also sting like heck.

Cheers,

Sirhr

Since your build is somewhat “out of the box” I had annother crazy idea for you...if you did need extra space for whatever “air canister” or something along those lines you could do a trailer made out of a chopped up Hummer or something. Just a thought.

Happy new Year! Here’s to ten more years of tanks.

Congratulations Aaron, that's impressive. Great for Armortek too.

We internet Gods must stick together. My Tank Builders Channel vids regularly achieve..... about a thousand views (after about twelve months) although the best selling vid got 26K but only because I mentioned TankFest in the title and people thought they were getting the real thing.

Keep going, what's next?
