Hi All,

As I had to sort the loft and find some older moulds I have not done any model making this weekend. Inspired by Ian's post of the other day I have however managed to get the base coats on my Limber!. Weathering will be done once the 25 pdr is at the same point.

Best regards

Dave

Nice one Dave,

SNAP……..looking good your limber and base coats colour etc. What did you use for your base coats?
Mine was a few wee cans of Humbrol Acrylic Spray (DESERT YELLOW 93)….AD6093 MATT.

I think the original inspiration is all down to you in offering us all your excellent upgrades to enhancing our limber kits.

Looking forward to seeing your limber and 25 pounder in October.

Best regards

Ian

Hi Ian,

Tamiya TS-46 Sand over War Paint British desert Armour. Have some more on order so hopefully the gun will be painted in time for October too.

Tried out some new (to me anyway) metallic on the trays and shells. Highly recommend AK True Metal waxes Brass and Steel.

Every thing else is mixed from various Vallejo colours.

Best regards

Dave

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your info on the paints you used on your limber.
Looks interesting the AK true Metal waxes Brass and Steel too.

Cheers for now

Thanks for this thread and for the highly-detailed photos! I started my limber yesterday and have your upgrade kit. And without these amazing photos, I would surely be lost!

Great stuff!

Cheers,
