Derek, regarding your question about the leather - John Fitzsimons kindly gave me some of this fabric which he used on his Tiger I parts. Only when I got it did I remember that by the time my late Jagdtiger was made (March/April 1945) the Germans had stopped using leather for some time so I found another non-leather material instead. The leather padding in my photo will not be used on the model. One example of this non-leather material can be found on the Bovington Panther G commander´s hatch;
Close up photos of the Kubinka´s Jagdtiger driver´s hatch show the same type of material.

Idlers
The last work on the wheel arrangement was the idler wheels, idler axles and the housings.
I tried hard to work out if it would be possible to modify Armortek’s idler to a more accurate wheel, but failed to find a way to achieve that “bottleneck” look behind the outer disc of the wheel.
An opportunity opened itself when an US-modelling friend needed help with making CAD produced idlers for his 1/10 Tiger II model. I helped him with dimensions and realized I could have more accurate ones made in 1/6 scale using his program.

Said and done, after some tweaking of details and dimensions to fit my needs this is what I got; idler consisting of three major parts plus the hubcap;
Per
I was looking through old threads for hints and tips on certain aspects of the King Tiger / Jagd Tiger models.
It was sad to me when I saw this thread as I was one of those "US-modelling friends needed help with making idlers for his 1/10 Tiger II model." I remember that discussion. I still have that 1/10 scale King Tiger, still unfinished (but 92 2/3 complete- it's run_able). I never did have any CAD parts made, another friend here did at great cost, as the idlers I made, cast parts, passed muster from Per when he saw them close up. Siiiiiiiigh, how I miss all those chats we had.

Yes, it's alive and doing well. 
There have been some running issues, but I believe they are sorted now. This past season, it has ran exceptionally well. I wanted to get that fixed first, before moving on.
