Hi guys
Another couple of the power.

I have gone for 33 amp hour which are the size John used in his Comet.
It needs a bit of a shift round of the electrics but will give a longer running times.

Just make sure you've got clearance for the cable coming down from the turret.

Dennis.

Hi Guys
Not much to report but I have been changing the crimp eyes
on the battery leads as the terminal bolts are bigger on the
33 amp batteries than the normal 22 amp ones that Armortek
design the electronics round.

These are things to think about when we make these changes

Hi Guys
This is the electrics going in and as you can see I am going to try and keep power on one side
and the signals on the other.

Image
The new batteries have made me move things arround so the aux unit electric is in the front
under the power unit,
Because of this I have had to make long leads to connect the speed control unit.

Coming along nicely :D

With all that suspension on the outside, it looks surprisingly cramped inside the hull

Adrian.

hello Derek,
here are some pictures of my old comet, there is no room left inside once all the electrics are in, don't forget to leave room for the smoker, that was the hardest to make room for,

hope this is of some use,

Hi Chris
Thanks for that.
If I fit a smoker it will still fit between the motors.
However I need to get the sound unit next.

Thanks for the photos really helpful

Congratulations Derek, she looks magnificent. The work you did on the turret front lip really pays off - I was going to stay stands out.... The electrics look a really tight fit, well done for squeezing it all in so neatly. Looking forward to seeing her running.

I'm anticipating the day when I can get back to my Celerity from 3 RTR, it's a fine kit.
