Here's an interesting video with a twist. He's getting quite good pressure too. I like where the fan is placed too, which allows for a straighter air flow.



That clicking might get on your nerves but I like the end product.

That's the best pulsating smoker I think I've seen so far.

I can't help but think it would be better if the butterfly was attached to a motor, and simply spun at a speed linked to the engine speed. That way you would get the puslation effect but not the clattering.

From the initial pictures it looks like a high wattage resistor sitting in smoke fluid, with string to wick up the fluid onto the resistor.

We would need a chemist/physisist to confirm but to my mind this works exactly the same as Mark's design, just with a different source of heat.

Whether what any of these things make is "fog" or "smoke" is down to interpretation. Nothing actually gets burnt, so maybe it's all just "fog" ?

Hi all

Just tried out our new design smoker. Well its the old smoker with a high pressure fan and an instant cut in effect. Gives great high pressure, high flow rate smoke, without to much volume. Good for a burst of smoke on revving up. Would give a good start up burst if switched on about 30seconds before the engine sound is started. (to give the element time to warm up.)

I think you would need two smokers, one for the thin mist , and the other for the belch on start up & rev's ect ( butterfly valve moved with a servo ) I guess you could run both units well under 2amps!, so plenty of tank running time
