Hi Steve
Hope you are well.
This is going to be another outstanding model. I love watching your work, its totally amazing. Have you not considered building these full time? they are museum quality.
Keep up the great work, and plenty of pictures.
Richie

Steve,
I am only saying what the others have said. Your hull details are stunning, really excellent work. I'm really enjoying this thread. I cant believe the makeover to the drive case. First class work,

After reviewing the twin torsion bar suspension i decided to carry out a very simple mod that i hope will save time and frustration in the future.
As can be seen in the photo below, the front right side fixed torsion bar is held in position by a M6 grub screw. The reason for the grub screw in this position as opposed to the normal cap heads is that the EMD mount fits directly above this point. I guess this arrangement will be OK but if access to the grub screw is required when everything is complete it would be necessary to remove the following.
1, Right track
2, Right sprocket
3, Right motor
4, Right right gearcase
5, Right EMD mount
The mod i carried out will hopefully eliminate the requirement to remove all the above components with the exception of the right Motor. All that is required is a 13mm hole drilling through the EMD mount directly above the grub screw location as shown below.
The reason for the hole being so large is that it is now possible to install a M6 cap head in this location and hence apply a much greater torque to clamp the torsion bar.
Finally heres a shot with the EMD mount installed.
If access to the M6 cap head is required in the future it should be possible to just remove the motor.
Hope this helps

Magnificent details Steve! I'm afraid to go look at my Panther for fear of noticing yet another thing to fix! Your hull detail is fantatistic. I agree, post more often (kidding)!

Bob
