Ehm...
so... is it really a scaled (down) tank....
or maybe did you have a REAL tank and you have scaled "up" all the surroundings to take the pictures ???
This is not a model... you MUST have the real tank in your backyard to have such details!
Just outstanding !

Stephen,
Simply beautiful!
Be careful that no one knows where you have her secreted, it might get "aqusitioned"
Wonderful job.
Wheels revisited

Thanks to Mr Le Roux' very keen eyes, more work on the tyres. Before and after shots of the tyres after removing the moulding ridge with a Dremel (Proxxon actualy) sanding disc. Then darkened the wheel rims between the tyres:
Fabrice - you were spot on as ever. The tank does now "sit" much more convincingly on its tracks, so many thanks.
Last bits and pieces to do before the Open Day. Today, I installed one of Thomas Benedinis water smoker cards. It does what it says, produces a very distince puff on acceleration and produces a good volume of smoke. Makes a lot of difference also using a centrifugal fan. I made up the smoker with a new enclosure, photos to follow.
Regards
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
I reckon the trophy is in the bag. I am just sorry I won't be there to witness it and have a look at the long awaited completion. I will be in Ireland for a week and we sail tonight so will miss the open day and Bovington on Sunday.
All the best and hope to meet up soon.
Dennis.

Stephen,
I hope you enter it in the open day contest. Best Armortek P3 I've ever seen. Absolutely stunning details. The weathering, dust, mud effects are excellent. You have "schooled" us all. I'd say you have a "best in show" candidate as well. I wish I could come to see all the excellent models and meet everyone there.
Best of luck,
Bob

Stephen (and all disciples)
Hope you have had a great day. Even looks like the sun shone at some stage!
Otto's chariot looks Wunderbar, hope you pick up a prize, or at least a lumpy circuit round EGTU to part you from all that cake!
Regards to all, perhaps I'll get down next time.
cheers, Fabrice

Blimy! Weather looked dismal...nothing like the Met Office radar output.
Models shined out, however!

Stephen, to my son Peter's untutored eye yours was the best, he was impressed by the recoil as well!

Hi Stephen, thats one stunning looking tank, and I have enjoyed the epic build that you shared with us, I can not understand why it failed to be picked for best overall model, but I guess the prize is the pride and satisfaction of a great model
regards
