Alex, the Paltoy CVR(T) version sold in 100's of 1000's, guaranteed a winner just on nostalgia alone.
Not sure I'd like the Chieftain accessories, the designers would be rolling after seeing it's sleek lines obliterated. Crazy I know, but I'm sure there's a lot of thought goes into "the look" of AFV due to potential international sales.
In reality, life has to be lived with the vehicle so there's never going to be enough space, just like the wifes wardrobes.
The FT-17, a wonderful potential model and would make a fantastic addition to the Armortek inventory just like the UC has.

Ah I never said it wouldn't sell,I don't doubt that, it's just no better looking than an FT-17

If Armortek were ever build the CVR(T) promise me Stehpen you won't spoil the lines with the bins off your Chieftain.

I've got a piece of a CVR(T) in the garage, a track link found in the Highlands. I did use it for a door stop until I stepped on the horn by accident

If Armortek ever did do the CVR(T), then Chiefy long bins are a must. We had them fitted to the tiffy wagon FV432, also the barrow FV434, along with Chiefy ARV & ARRV, followed by CRARRV and WR512 & WR514. If sending a vehicle back for base overhaul we always stripped the chiefy long bins off it beforehand. They were so useful. On the Chiefy ARRV we had them along the spine and also on the jib.
Left the army in 2007, I seem to recall I demanded a replacement chiefy long bin late 2005 and got it.

I'm guessing this drain pipe Salamander thing is a Oddball subterfuge moment, adding it to the main gun to scare the enemy off thinking it's got a 90mm. More like it. (Cracking picture gromett)

No, the Salamander was a CVR(T) used in BATUS, altered with a bit of drain pipe and a few oil drums to represent a russian tank.
It was a lot smaller than the russian tank it was supposed to resemble. Not only did the Opfor know the terrain they also cheated at times to beat the battlegroups.

This is not only an off-topic comment but also a personal opinion. It doesn't really merit a reply but if anyone is interested an a different perspective, I"m in the happy position of being able to give my views as one who commanded the first OPFOR. Now, perhaps we could get back to Armortek's next model.

It's so tempting to say what we'd all like to see what Armortek will build next, but even with the missing nine or ten, these 1/72 models shown here have all been built by Armortek.
Missing from the line up of course is the Roller Royce armored car, Bergepanther, Tiger late, MkIV, Lee, Universal Carrier, T34/85, several AT Guns and a Bailey Bridge.
And I'm sure there's more to come .

It's rather an impressive line up, knowing what each one of these little models represents.

Kinda makes me feel proud to be part of it.

Now where did I leave that Chieftain hull.

Is that an A34 Comet I see tucked over on the middle right John?

Alex, your right, a Comet it is, but that little one tucked away is all plastic compared to the other metal hulled models.
If a 1/6 version comes up on the Armortek Bring n Buy.

It's a fandabbydozy model Oh Robert, I'd want three of those Rollers painted for that sort of money, at my tiny museum of tanks, anything over £5 tears at the purse strings
The E100 and the Maus being the most expensive at about £15, their not even playable toys

I've always wonder why The Tank museum does not build a mock up of a E100 or Maus as an exhibition crowd pleaser.

Natural history museums do it with Dinosaurs. Same thing really

The FT17 was also America's first tank (or a variant of it.)

Patton... Eisenhower... both were part of the early Tank Corps. So it's a tank that appeals a lot to Americans!

That said, there is one made in China. It is a stunning model but incredibly expensive and I have a thing about buying stuff made, well, let's say "Not in Otterbourne."

French 75 though... how great a Kompact Kit would that be?

I completely agree. Ft-17, small, portable. Loads of colour schemes, operators, conflicts and use. Peacetime and Wartime across the planet. Whether you're a WW1 modeller, WW2 modeller, Allied or Dunkelgrau modeller, there is an FT-17 for you. It's a perfect companion for the Mk IV, and depending on price point, would make an excellent first Armortek Tank, or an "Oh hell why not kind of purchase" in comparison to the bigger models, a chance to try something a bit different to the norm.

If it gets them built, I'll commit to buying one now a la Famo. But after the CVR(T) first. Let's get in the queue haha.
