I enjoyed Fury as much as anyone but the screen as as close as I'll get to a Fury_ish Sherman. I don't look to movies
to flex my historical prowess, I go to lose myself, be entertained. A movie has to be really, really bad to fail in that regard...

There are a number of companies who will apply one's likeness to a 1/6 action figure head so in theory
you could meld your head on an appropriate commander figure, paint and decorate your Easy Eight replacing "Fury" with
"Pitt's got nuthin on me" on the main gun tube....be bold, make a statement!

Jerry, the thought crossed my mind for my Chieftain - likeness of self sitting on top. But there's one fundamental catch. To make it work, you need all round photos. I don't look much like my 30 year old self anymore. Now, I could ask them to do a bit of shrinking and could recolour the hair but the wrinkles would be a real challenge........

I've just made the mistake of telling my wife about the custom head sculpts, she's been manically laughing for the past minute and claiming we need one for the Easy Eight, I could always flip the joke round and tell her it has to be her head we have sculpted.

Details to follow..could be fun?

Here's a box of Winstone gold, no no no, not the great and wonderful Steve.

A Metal M2 and a bunch of US gear, a rare piece on evil bay, the postage though and import tax you may pay is deadly.

Reference the custom head sculpts, here is a photo I took at Hausen am Bach 2019 of a Jagdpanther with a female crew. Whilst taking the photo, I was informed by a friend of the owner that one was the spitting image of the owners girlfriend, the other of her best friend, and that the girlfriend had insisted they crewed the vehicle if he wanted to keep the model and her.

just as a warning the DID M2HB is probably the worst rendition of this gun in 1/6. The gun is over scaled, details are soft, It's missing the bottom ejection port, the barrel carry handle is way too small, the charging handle mount is a thin hollow piece of PE when it's supposed to be a solid chunk of cast material, and it will not really fit on any cradle mount that is on the market, which of course you will need to mount it to a tank. It's a perfect case of "just because it's metal doesn't make it better"

For 1/6 M2s the best ones on the market are from Dragon, the 21C gun is also very good. But if metal is something that you must have, go with the armorpax one. Dave's gun is excellent and will fit on his equally excellent M23 cradle mount with no issues.

Thanks John for clearing that up, experience is priceless, I've usually found DID stuff ok, but some times a bit flimsy, it may look good but It doesn't always handle so well.

I usually have nightmares with the head phones that fall to bits just looking at them, I've had that from different manufacturers.

But I do like the moving parts you some times get with these metal model accessories, I'm usually attracted to metal bits if available.

Good to know Dave Dibb's has a good selection of the fire power needed for the M4A3 and the Hetzer for that matter. 8)

I’ve got two of these which I really like (just not metal). With a bit of modifying its sits perfectly in Dave’s (armorpax) 50. Cal cradle which all then fits great in John’s (ECA) 50. Cal retracting pintle mount (I have the old version)

The ZY toys one is also a good option. The ZY one and the dragon one are the same quality because I believe the two are made on the same tooling.

Carrying on the subject of the Easy Eight, will the production model have a cast turret Kian?
