Hello again Phil, I would imagine most of us modelers have dabbled in other branches of hobbies.
That's a mean heli....popular with the neighbours though :)
My only real success with other hobbies, was model gliders and model boats. I gave up gilders...when I lost sight of them....and boats, when our local pool'duck pond' dried up.
Don't know about down your way...but the weather here is very cold and dull...Mick

Thanks Nick :)
Yes It was raining Friday so I did a bit of work on it and
decided to run it up and try a quick Hover in the lounge, not
much room for error, but it sat lovely at about 6" off the floor,so
I thought thats it I must get her outside if the rain stops and not too
windy :D
Regards
Phil

Hi Mick
Yes I dabled for a while with the fixed wing aircraft, used to fly at Enville
Common near Half Penny Green Air field.
One of our mates model went out of range and didnt stop untill it met someones
roof in Dudley.
He had put his name address and telephone number in his fuselage so got a call
and a bill for some roof slate replacements.
Good job we all had the insurance..
Regards
Phil

Hi Nick
Sorry I missed your post re diagram, fell asleep in front of the
Telly yet again :)
Glad you found it OK in the end.
Yes its only just recent that the pic's were sorted out on
the Forum and all the old pics are alright now and not chopped off.
The one advantage of altering the width to 750 is the speed that it
uploads to photobucket,much faster.
All the best
Phil

Hello Phil, great pictures....the turret with all of the additional fittings is superb, you must find a way of displaying the interior....well done.
I like the new recoil system....I am still living in hope that I can fit something simuliar to my Jagdpanther....there must be a solution :)

I take it you are on Bank Holiday???....Mick

Thanks Mick
Yes just the Monday off for this bank holliday.
RE Recoil for your Jagdpanther.
The tricky bit is getting the older Armortek barrels sliding in a nice bronze
bush or a nylon one, which might only need the barrel turning to fit the bearing
and might not need the mantlet bored.
I cant see why any of the other Armortek Recoil Fittings cant be adapted.
I will look out for your pictures of your Gun fixings when you get up to that end.
Regards
Phil

Good to see the recoil and new elevation system going into a tank.

I've looked at the Jagd recoil for Denny and I think, reading the instruction manual, that the gun tube is clamped in the pivot assembly, and is also used to clamp the mantlet in place.

To make gun tube movable, it will be necessary to manufacture some other method for holding the mantlet in position.

I've found with the Panzer III and the Sherman that the barrels seem to move freely enough without the need for additional low friction bushings.

Adrian.
