Stug III 2020 57

Not to much done to the Stug for a couple off days .
Mostly rebuild off the man cave to be able to work during the Autumn/Winter.

Change place for the spare wheel , drill and tap for the spare wheel holder.
Keep it from roll around when driving.

At last some detail work today , after a long absence due to much IRL things .

Did some small mods on the 10t Jack and holders.

Just slim them down abit and ad a bolt/nut

Add another handle mostly to keep it from moving around to much .

Next was the Tetra mostly a clean up and then drill and tap for two 1/72 bolts to keep it in place.

And as a final for today some small work on the Tow hatch.

Small try to copy "Stannard´s" sure miss him Not finished due to material lack

Test fit off Tetra "Notek dummy only for measurement"

Had to fix the shovel holder , not sure what went wrong here

Working on those tool clamps form Armorpax real pleasure to work with

only mod was some bolts on them insted off plastic rods.

Next thing was the sledge hammer , to hasty should have test it before

Had to make another mount for it no big deal , left to do is shorten the shaft a tiny bit and make the head more accurate

Then on to the jack made some small mods to be able to change direction off it. Oh those ref books go to you´r head

Then a axe holder on its way , a not so tidy bench at the moment

Also took the time to change position off the spade , and made a mod to the prybar who could have thought that you could
found the idea in "On Display book about Stug III "

A little holder to the cleaning rods thats about it for now on the Stug 57

Agree Florian they sure do,

In a flow at the moment just try to keep it going
Come up with a on those cone bolts , "probably invented the wheel again " any how my version
cut drill and tap 3mm

Also found in the scratch box two ex Corally details that I will use for the " start cover nuts "

After that" brain storm" just some small deatils to drive spockets

The Kegelscrews are realy short for the back side, but it worked in my case.

Not much done today mostly read those books ,some adjustment to length off those cleaning rods and moving the holder off them
to hasty should have learn by now and prepare for some filling on the hole /screw .

Back in the "black smith" try to learn how to solder brass on steel

Started out with this little fellow , that went ok

Next was the MG shield , some re-position and other mounts

First try out with the mg , after that the ego was boosted

End result ,

Couldn´t resist a try out

Been busy cleaning windows lately

Off course wet sanding 1200 then 2000 after that a small amount off
acryl polish for "real car headlamps most off them are plastic these day´s "
to clear up the result from sanding.

Got a question to the community off the back side color off the prisma
Tigers are bakelit but from what I´v seen so far not the Stug´s .
Any one have a clue
