One of the kits is a popular rerun. The other one is a kit that we have been working on for over a year now - with the challenge being to get the tracks right.

Armortek is very good at giving clues that are just enough to intrigue... but leave a lot of options open!

If the re-run is allied... it is pretty much limited to Comet, Mk IV and T34. And IIRC, the T34 was not popular initially. But maybe on a lot of 'want' lists now. Could it be a Comet?

Half-track is still front drive! So looks like that one is out, too!

Haven't there been debates about certain tracks and getting them right? Someone should cue in on that.

Waiting 24 hours is no problem. But I love a mystery. Tick Tock!

Steel wheel Panthers had problems with tracks. Could a steel wheel Panther being something never offered before by Armortek be classed as new model rather than a re run?

Let's look at the clues ...........

1 Allied, 1 German
Both WW2
Both tracked
Allied one has rear final drives
1 new (with difficult tracks), 1 re-release
And, from a previous conversation, they're going to be smaller that a JT . One can guess a lot smaller, as the team are getting worn out carrying all that metal around !

My final guess is therefore:
Allied - Matilda II (like I said at the start). A new kit, but would prove very popular with the Desert War crowd. Also good for Blitzkrieg (Arras 1940), Lend-Lease potential for Russia, and conversion potential for the Australians.
German - Panzer IV. A long-time re-release. A big gap in the Axis coverage, with plenty of conversion potential.

Comets are popular, but seem to come up regularly in the For Sale column. And the T34 should be popular, but wasn't, and I doubt Armortek want to be bitten like that again.

But what else can you see 'through the keyhole' .......... ?

Ok so here,s my final guess before the big reveal.
I have always thought a universal carrier would be a hit, so the difficult tracks clue and rear drive fall nicely into place, That’s the new allied kit covered.
As for the re-issued kit there are a number of contenders.
1- It must be German if my first guess is correct
2- discount the following, Tiger 2, Panzer 3, Famo as they are all fairly recent runs.
3- Tiger 1 never fails to sell so a big incentive for Armortek to do another run of these.
4- Panther is popular
5- 251 did not sell very quickly so I don’t think it would be that.
6-sdkfz-7 always builds into a nice kit and not been issued for a while.
So what’s it going to be ?
My guess is sdkfz-7 but if I had a second guess it would be a Panther.

Always like it when Armortek release a new kit . Whatever they release I am sure it will be a success.

With the PAK 40 and PAK 43/41 as compact kits, I can see people who started off by purchasing one of them now wishing to progress and having a vehicle to tow them, so I agree the SdKfz 7 could be up for a re-run.

I may be wrong. And all will be moot by tomorrow anyway....

BUT.... I see them having a hard time doing a Universal Carrier as a full kit. The full kits have all had the capability of RC and the added benefit of sound, smoke, etc. How do you fit all that in a Universal Carrier? I guess they did it with the Ant.... but it's a tough one with an open-hull little guy. Batteries alone are 'big!' even for a small, light vehicle. I could see that being a real challenge. Then again, things are getting smaller.

The Matilda sounds interesting!

But one wake-up and we'll all know. And I'll bet we'll still be surprised! And happy! Always Happy!

I do hope it is not KV-1 because I still remember then once I asked Armortek (around 2013-2014) if they could make blueprint or at least one custom model of this Russian beast.
