Hi Doug,
I found Steve Winstone's email address if you want to get in touch with him about buying Castellated Nuts.
Not sure who else makes them or to buy from?
steve.winstone@sky.com….unless he's changed it by now!
Yes I too need smaller castellated nuts for my Pak 41/43 much later on!
All the best in your hunt for above.
Cheers
Ian

I will prob. need a lot of M3 & M4 castellated nuts so I was thinking of making them myself using something similar and modding with a thin cutting blade on a Dremel. Worth a go even if it does not work. Might try Nylocs first?

Hi Doug,
As you say why not have a go at making them yourself, that should be fun?
Mind you I've had a go at making very small M3 & M4 Hex nuts and bolts before when I could not find the right size I wanted……tricky when your trying to file them down to make them all look the same, especially when there is a lot to mass produce!
But never attempted trying to make Castellated Nuts before!
Let me know how you get on!
Cheers
Ian

Hi All,
Just a few more pics of my limber kit progress, which is almost completed now?…..only needs the tow bar to be added and a bit of weathering + adding the 8th army desert rats symbols markings etc, which is what I wanted to depict, in the long run.
And if I get any more things done by adding a few ammo boxes, camouflage netting, canvas covers etc, all the better for Armortek big weekend in October.
Cheers
Ian

That's one superb model Ian.
Think I'll give up and consign my feeble attempts to the back of the garage.

Thanks Ian,
But please don't give up on your own kit, because you have seen my efforts.
Just all depends how far you want to take your build, even if some builders only want
to build straight out of the box which is fair enough, and why not!
I just love adding lot's of detail, and you know it's really down to creative people like Dave of Armorpax
who designed and produced superb upgraded parts to add to those kits, which makes it so real and enhances
the models.
So with Dave's excellent upgrades, which encourage me to produce a few of my own I got there in the end!
So don't consign your kit to the back of the garage, carry on the good work.
Cheers

Hi all,
Well I finally got around to adding the tow bar section to my limber kit, to complete the whole model now.
More or less finished, only need to add some weathering and tactical signs on the mudguards to depict a 8th army desert version. And some extra ammo boxes, camouflage netting etc.
Hope you all like it?
At least that's one model ready for Armortek big weekend in October.
What next to build would be the 25 pounder gun to go along with the limber I've just finished.
Cheers from sunny warm Glasgow today
Ian
