simon_manning wrote:thanks steve, i did make my own on the jagdpanther both fan and heater grills, the mesh i used was slightly finer and seemed to look o.k., i had these two already so used them, regards simon.

Hi Simon,
Just like to introduce myself, I am new to the forum and I managed to purchase a King Tiger 2013 a few month's back, and I am trying to make it look as realistic as possible.
I am really impressed with both your King Tiger builds. Hope you don't mind me asking but just wanted to ask a few question's about your build and alternative part's that you have used.
On your grills on this build what alternative mesh did you use and where can I purchase it?
Where did you purchase the hinges for the rear mud guards and what size rivet's did you use on the front mud guards?

Just like to say how realistic your build's and paint job's look, and I hope that I can get close to what you have done on my King Tiger
Keep up the good work and the post's
Regards Roger

hi to the forum, progress has been slow on the tiger, the cupola hatch lid took me longer than i expected, to make it fit and work to the best with what i had to hand, there's still some small detail to add, hatch lid stop and closing guide, thanks roger for the post, regards simon.

Hello Simon,

Your work look fantastic, nice paintjob
like always.
Are you gonna make a complete new KT?
Is it possible to explain how you do make the whitewash on the turret?
best regards Yves

Hello Simon,

I did not know that they use that kind of shields on a king tiger.
It looks fine.
Best regards Yves
