Re: T34/76 No 183 Factory (29/2011)
Hi,
thank you for the comments!
Here is my update for the end of 2012.
I added last details to the engine. It is now ready for weathering.
Next I reworked side grids at the engine cover. Thank you Bodo for your T34 report. But I didn't rework the upper grids. I found out, the the early models of the T34/76 had grids like in the kit. The first batch of T34/76 also had different grid at the sides.
I rebuilt also the lids and the flap behind the grid, but it is difficult to see at the photo. Maybe I will make the grid movable later.
I reworked also the rear grid on the rear part of the engine cover. It is planned, to rebuild also the flaps inside, to prevent the view to the electronics.
Next I added the hook to the turret cover. The welds will be done next.
Last was the wheathering of the tow rope. I did it immersed into vinegar for two days, another day later it became rusty.
To be continued in 2013. I wish you all a happy New Year!

Re: T34/76 No 183 Factory (29/2011)
Hello,
here is my first update in 2013. After brushing the engine cover, the flaps below the mesh are better visible now.
Also the small covers behind the side grids.
I added the welds to the hinges at the rear.
I have weathered the engine.
Then I added the last welds to the turret hatch.
At last I brushed the turret inside details, some repairs have to be done.
That's it for today

Hi,
In the last two weeks I brushed the Model. Today I did some highlighting, darkening and washing. Next week I hope I will get the film for the stecils to brush the turret markings. Another thing, I will do, is some wethering with pastel chalk.
the grey parts will be rusty in the next days

Grüß Dich Günter,
your T-34/76 is getting a real beauty, amazing to look into the turret to discover all the working additions.

Hi Phil, hi Bodo,
thank you for your comments, but you are making wonderfull models too and many details were based on your ideas and concepts. Yesterday I have finished the turret markings, using a stencil and during last week I started the animation of the driver.
The driver animation (video 2.4 MB) http://www.panther-tanks.de/T34/M4H01576.wmv
Sorry for the noise in the background, its not the tank, its my mill
Bodo, your stencil and the saw is ready.

the turret is looking great, I like the stencils you have made. You are rising the bar with your animatronic additions!! Have to think about an answer !!

Great job, what did you use to give that "textured cast metal" look on the turret?
1/6 Armortek: Panther,KingTiger. 1/6 FOA: Tiger-1,251 Halftrk. 1/6 ArmorHobbies: 250 Halftrk("GRIEF"). 1/6 DML: Kubelwagon,Kettenkrad. 1/16 Trumpeter KingTiger. 1/24 Tamiya: Tiger-1,Panther.(& a countless host of others too small to mention)

Hello,
thank you for your comments!
Dave, for the texture on the turret I used Presto "Füllspachtel" (filler) and nitro thinner modeled by the fingers.
