Dennis,
Outstanding looking rig. Thanks for the inspiration. I hope to build something like that someday. This rig would definately put some "fun" back into model tank recovery!!
Best regards,
Bob

Thanks for the kind comments. Just finished the doors. Looking forward to doing the bonnet louvres (not !!), steering wheel, dashboard, winch rollers, winch, numbers, badges, headlights, mirrors etc, and so the list goes on. My Tiger 1 still sitting in boxes, looking like it will be a Winter project now.
Mick, Your Panther looking good.

Hi all,
Some additions made, bonnet louvres, doors, dashboard (no dials yet), bonnet hinge, tailgate and winch rollers. Still more to do.
Looking for 1/6th scale headlights, anybody know of any for sale ?

They look very neat and regular
I know we discussed these at TankFest - what method did you use in the end

Hi Adrian,
We scrounged some from Mark (used on the half track I think) and modified the length, not an easy job as they are in white metal and I had to mill the edges down plus a bit of P38 car body filler and a lot of hours but I got there in the end.

German on Board at Castle Drogo last weekend. Wipers, mirrors, lights and front tow hook now fitted. I spent the whole weekend loading and unloading the Comet and various other tanks on board and driving around with no problems. The public were very impressed.

Dennis,
Great looking rig - you must be proud of her. The final details really made it. Looks quite capable of hauling just about anything Armortek produces! Great project, great inspiration!
Best regards,
Bob

Yes thanks for that Bob certainly has pulled everything so far including the KT. The only thing left to do is the winch which lives behind the cab. I think we will make up a dummy as a working winch wouldn't be practical. Looks as though it might appear in the magazine Classic Military Vehicles, I have done an article and submitted photos, editor is very keen to publish it in next but one edition.
