Jagdtiger
Hi Paul,
Lovely work and really fast progress as well. Sometimes wish I´d followed your route and rework the Armourtek kit into a Jagdtiger. Really looking forward to seing this model getting finished.
A small thing; the ventilators on the engine hatch should have the same profile, no flattened version as this was made to clear the T2 turret.

Hi fellas.
Thank you for your comments and support, Per thank you thats exactly why I asked you to help out here and there, I was so intent on trying to get something done with the gun that I ended up missing something obvious and made a silly mistake, the engine access hatch is now back on the to do list.
Cheers Paul

Got the barrel back at last!
Hi fellas.
Well its been a while more than two months but I have my tapered barrel back from the machinist
Difficult to take a decent picture of it because its so bloody big! but in the above picture you can see a magic piece of tube that fits very very neatly into the end of the barrel and makes it look like this!
Thank you so much Stephen you are a gentleman and a star to boot
In this next picture you can see the various parts of the gun I have been slowly working on while waiting for the prodical barrel to return...
and here the main parts loosly balanced together to see how it was going to look.
I am quite pleased with the overall look especially the insert from Stepphen just needs a wipe around with some filler on the end and it will look the part.
More to follow a bit sooner now I hope.
Cheers for now Paul

Nice job Paul
The rifling really make all the difference to this barrel as it's in full view with no muzzle brake hiding it. Keep the photo's coming and good luck with the rest of the build. It's going to one monster of a model when completed
Thanks Ant

Hello fellas.
Thank you for your very kind comments .
Bob. Yes I am hoping to make up some shells and also try to do at least some partial interior detail but that is a long way off yet.
Ant. Thanks mate yes she will be a big beastie when complete...can't wait ha ha, you are right Stephen has done a fantastic job on the rifling for me I am very pleased.
Tim. You are right a big heavy piece of kit, it will need to be well secured in the citadel when the model is moving around, I guess I will need a fully working travel lock on this one.
Steve thanks always nice to hear from you.
Per. Thank you indeed although I can take no credit for the main tapered barrel I had to get that done it was just too long for my machine, and yes the hole is all the way through! I got the aluminium tube from a very friendly company in Devon the bore of the tube is just over a mm out of scale but I cannot have everything.
Thanks again to all of you.
Cheers Paul.

Re: Jagdtiger Conversion
Hello Paul,
It is good that you work again on the jagdtiger,
i'am gonna follow your build
My KT project is on hold for the moment, because my parents sold their house with
a very large shed
And now we are living in a smaller house and my place to work is smaller
If my workshop is ready i'am gonna start back on the KT
Tomorrow i'am gonna test my blankfire for my tiger 1
Sorry for my bad English
best regards Yves

Re: Jagdtiger Conversion
Hi Yves.
Nice to hear from you, glad you will be back on with your King Tiger again, I am sure you will get sorted with a workshop soon.
Thats the great thing about these models you can have a rest from one to do other things and go back to them later on and they are just the same as when you left them, I am looking forward to getting the running gear into the Jagdtiger.
Cheers Paul.

Re: Jagdtiger Conversion
Hi yves and Paul.
Was just wondering what was happening with the KT and JagdT. been a bit quiet lately. Glad you are going to tackle the blank firer. I need to look at that too. Hoping to get the Tiger off the bench soon.
