Hi Yves with regards to the blank firer not going off, is it that the unit is not rotating, or is it going through the action but not striking the primmer, if it is striking the primmer, is it leaving an impression in the cap? It may not be hitting the primmer hard enough , take a look and we can go from there. Be careful after a miss fire give it say i min cool off time before you take a look cheers Phil

G'day Yves
I have found with the blank firers I have, that the 3 bolts that hold the brass triangle in the back are critical for a smooth operation.
I found by taking the time to align these bolts, not just screw them in to the holder, their is less binding as the brass triangle moves up and down, giving greater reliability takes a bit of time but once found locktite into place.
Also if you have tried a blank and it has light strike the primer then the firing pin requires more depth. Do not reuse the same blank as I found out that whilst they will work in your normal shotgun they have a high failure rate when reused in the armortek blank firer causing frustration.
Once you have your depth I have a second nut on the middle screw so it does not wind out.
I have found that after firing 6 rounds that the firing pin can get a little slow so I give that a spray with Gunk out to get rid of any residue and then a light gun lubricant spray.
Sorry I cannot find my blank firer manual or I would have used the correct wording for each part but I hope this helps
Personally they are great addition well worth the time to set up and give the tank a great dimension
Regards
Timbo

that when go off and post them tomorrow on the forum.

Thank you guys for the response and information

By the looks of the indentation marks the firing pin is either not hitting hard enough or not deep enough or a combination of both , the green carts have a tougher primmer material the red carts are softer so maybe stick with manufacture of the latter.
In the initial trials it was found that when the battery voltage was low or the unit was sticking/binding due to debris this slowed the action down and it would become lazy as the hammer dropped off the indent cam.
Keep things clean and well oiled.
I notice that the pin is also leaving a scuff line as the cart pass by it , this will slow the action down and maybe damage the cylinder ( all be it cosmetically) the return spring may need replacing and so keep the pin away from the cart face.
I have also noticed that some carts have a slightly thicker rolled edge than others this causes the cart to sit high in the chamber and so cause binding, make sure that the chamber lip face is also clean.
When a shotgun breech is closed conciderable pressure pushes the cart firmly into place.

Hello Phil,

Thanks for your explanation, yesterday evening i change the hammer adjustment screw a little backwards so the fireing pin donth make a scratch on the cartrige.

I will try again later with a blackpowder cartrige.
I am busy now on the animatronics.

kind regards Yves
