Adrian Culloden
Wifey and I visited that sad site in 1973. Amazing!
The 75 was nowhere to be seen but that could have been the lack of time to investigate everywhere?
Wifey says take care so do I mate
Regards Stewart
Is Stuart Holden still alive?
Come on big boy where are you mate?

Stewart,
Many thanks for your quick and welcoming response.
As an engineer by nature and profession, and with photography as a hobby you can expect to be bored after the Comet arrives. Also, having retired only last week the tank factory will be in full production.
Thanks again
Paul

Some pictures of Pointe du Hoc which was taken by the American Rangers
Its like a cratered moonscape
It was raining and I was soaking wet hence lack of pictures
Hundreds of bomb craters
Hardly any damage to the empty gun emplacements.
The guns had been removed some time earlier and were in the nearby woods.

Not a lot more to post just hill 112 and Omaha American cemetery.
If you have no interest in this tour or any other tour just say so and I will crawl back in to my hole and shut up for good!
Sorry but thats the way I feel.
Even so called friends have said nothing apart from Adrian and Paul?
Thats life

Hi Stewart,
I'm enjoying it apart from the rain, I'm sick to death of bl**dy rain
Seriously though, very interesting photo tour so far. I thought I'd seen most of the sights in that area but you've shown me there are many more
Keep the photo's coming.
Thanks Antony

Hi Stewart,
I'm enjoying seeing all those great pics of your Normandy tour.
I't reminds of my own visit to that area back in the 70s or 80s with my brother, although I did not see so much as you did.
Thanks for the memories, much appreciated for sure.
Cheers
Ian

Hi Stewart.
Check out how many views you have had on your posting, seems quite a lot to me maybe people were just waiting as I was to see all your photo's before they said thanks and well done...just a thought.
I have enjoyed looking at them because I have never been myself...so thanks for posting them.
Cheers Paul.
