Impressive and lovely work on your Tiger I ( and the ammo crates as well).

Just a small note on the casting numbers. It´s not DXP but DKR which stands for Henschel Co. in Kassel.

DKR - well one learn something new every day.
As the Panther sprockets had BXE I was sure the middle one was an "X".
Would never have guessed that and now even that I know it is DKR I still see DXP or maybe DXR, but will now do DKR on my own Tiger.
(I am glad I do not rush with my Tiger build and this time learn from others )

Great to see you are back on the Tiger project. Although that means I am getting further and further behind on mine (compared to you guys actually building yours)! Great to see some new progress.

Are the access plates included in the kit or your custom parts? I haven't taken my Tig out of the shipping boxes yet.

The round one is from the kit. Only the rectangular plate is a custom part. The belly was painted dark yellow the other day and will soon be flipped upright, hopefully for the last time. Drive sprocket, bump stops, wheels and rear plate detailing are next. Not sure which order those will go in yet.

Long way to go to catch up to Steve.

Found some time today to assemble and detail both drive sprockets. The cast number/codes are based off some limited photo reference as well as some artistic license. I will correct the center "star" tab with bends. I corrected the letters on the exhaust guards as well.







Also worked on this detail. Front fender catch/retainer.






I also had a question for fellow Tiger owners. I'm trying to sort out the parts for the rear plate and was wondering, are there stand-offs for the exhaust heat shields included in the kit? I only counted enough for the side fenders. Has everyone made these from scratch or am I just not seeing them?

Great detailing parts Tim - I love how these small parts are now getting added to the builds - it really adds to the overall realism.

Sorry I can't really help with the stand-offs - my Tiger is the early model but the instructions seem to say to bolt the armour and heat sheild directly to the rear plate.

Dale, My camera was doing weird things. There is Mr Surfacer on there but it's not the reason for the bluish tint.
