I was not surprised at the steel rimmed wheel Tiger,(Zzzzzz), the last two German Models have both had the latest running gear.

The Little Herzer, big surprise. Great Looking forward to seeing it, but I'd still love to see some more pictures or clips of the present new Armortek model. The elusive Universal Carrier running round would certainly please me

Worst recent War film I've seen, the "Secret Weapon" a Russian film depicting a lost Katyusha rocket armed truck, truly awful.
Fortunately I only wasted ten minutes, finding the use of the fast forward button most agreeable.

First off, Excellent release choices... Bravo! On the sherman is it going to be an M4A3E8, or an M4A2E8? I ask because I see the verbiage on the flyer stating it as an A3, but from the sample CAD image rendering the vehicle looks to be an M4A2E8. Clearly heavily inspired by the Bovigton "Fury" M4A2E8 being used (wisely) as a reference.

The A2 is a very interesting choice and is one that is overlooked in this scale, and being a HVSS variant is even more interesting / overlooked. However the A2 w/ HVSS configuration was not reported to have been used during WWII and most examples of this pattern of vehicle were done as a post war upgrade to existing A2s. This version of the A2 was used by the Canadians during the Korean war, sadly without the rad tiger faced markings

Kian, can you post a sample rendering image of the tank showing the rear?

Very well spotted John, that is definitely an A2 set of Grilles, the would be wider on an A3. I guess we will find out more with the release of more cads!

If it is an A2, Fury looks like a way more attractive option to me now, or it looks like I'll be learning to cut some metal lol.

Just had a look at my currently in progress 1/48 Tamiya M4A3E8, yep, the engine deck situation is as John pointed out.

Is that something that can be reworked before production Kian? The design looks brilliant, luckily its on a flat panel and that flat panel and possibly the rear exhaust being tweaked will make it a world beater!

The conversion requires more than just the rear engine deck and the rear wall exhaust manifold detailing, the hardest part to convert is the angle of the rear upper plate, the A2's rear section has a different angle compared to the A3. To convert this you would have to have a A3 side / rear plate specific panels. Or you would need to manually adjust the angle and make sure you do it as identical as possible on the two plates.

which was why I asked before I reserve a kit

Thinking about it, Armortek has already done an M4A3, could components be used from that? I'm not sure if CAD was used way back when that model was designed, if it was maybe that could aid with modifying the E8 kit before production?

That is an interesting observation (M4A2 vs M4A3). I would have thought the E8 release would be the original release hull (M4A3)with HVVS suspension and T-23 turret. The rear deck does look different on the CAD image. The Furry tank has nearly vertical rear hull plate as well.

The original M4A3 used 3D printed parts, so CAD was definitely involved

I would say that reusing parts from previous models is what caused so many problems with the Firefly kit.

From what I can remember the recycled bit that carried over and caused some complications was the rear engine deck area. The Firefly kit rear deck looked like the took the A3 kit plate and added more material to the rear to fit the new longer hull. this threw off some of the specs on where the rear details went, not to mention the shape of the rear engine hatch. The suspension I guess was a carry over too, but the old ones were cast and the firefly ones were CNC. Either way I absolutely loved the old A3 build and the two firefly builds I did. Pretty sure this New sherman will be no different!
