I would appreciate some help with detail of recuperator.
The drawing below shows similar to what I have made.

Now look at photo on same page.
Completely different.  Is the bar central in the tube or at the bottom?<br />How does the recuperator tube work? What is the movement. Anyone got good photos?

Thanks Chang, They are a help. Nice to see the King Tiger set up. Might be useful in the future. I think the Tiger 1 will be similar in having bar lower in the cylinder also rather than central. I will try that next time.

Steve, great to hear from you. I have been very busy with work and kids. Difficult to make time for tank projects but getting back into it. I got a lathe and milling machine a while back and have beet trying to teach myself how to use them. Still picking up tooling.

I hope everyone on the forum is keeping safe and well. Hopefully the misery will come to an end soon.

Based on photographic evidence rather than drawings I have revised recuperator. Shaft now offset in cylinder.

Thanks Simon. Learning how to make this as I go along. Made lots of mistakes but but looking at steps in process will make next one easier and better.

I have been working on some modifications to the recuperator. This is s bit closer to the photos rather than drawings.
