Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard
Not that many jobs left to do now other than tidying the electrics and the engine grills to fit when they arrive, also the hull floor to chequer plate. I've had a slight electronic issue which is now all sorted, I hope! Oh and the pcb cooling fans for the radiators have given up the ghost so better quality examples are on order (no big deal).

Enjoying this build Phil, it’s not often you seen something new on Tiger builds and this one is interesting. Thanks for all the hard work you’ve put into sharing your work.

I didn't have the courage to do that to my jack block.

Super work Phil, appreciating the detail and honesty you've putting in, I sometimes wonder how you can let go of the commissioned piece of art work when you have put your heart and soul into it.
That's not to say the actual owner doesn't appreciate the hard work you've put, so from that point of view the wonderment continues on.
I hope there's a little plate with a Phil Woollard signature on the model, in a secret place for future custodians to "Purr" over.
It would certainly "ad" value
even more value if you end up like poor Yorick
(Heavens forbid. There's another masterpiece to build
).
From a maintenance view the planning has to be meticulous. Most machines designers rarely consider the poor chap with sausage fingers trying to reach and repair parts, (Dare I say sagging suspensions). There should be a warning to all, "put the model on blocks", support a bit of weight when not in use. Especially when the model is "fully loaded".
Nice to see a sort of Gauguin verse Van Gogh dance off in progress, pushing the boundary's, Although I do have a bias towards full R/C, I'll have keep my "ear" to the ground on this one.

John I think when are building for others although you enjoy it immensely you dont have that personal bond with the vehicle, and the fact that you have to get your arse in gear it becomes work!

I can't believe that. But I can believe there's nothing worse than an old swinging rusty bucket.
By the way, have you previously worked in a sardine factory?

Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard
Buckets Vince, they can look so good but they can make a superb model tank look absolutely pants, mainly due to the swing as the model runs around. I cringe when I see drivers of model tanks charging about with transmission suicidal turns and change of direction manouvers, and a swinging bucket or a crew member lent right back in his turret cupola! For our hobbies sake let's keep it real or as close as we can.

Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard
A little help please guys, we are using the new sound module and the last generation motion control module, I want to install an led for the hull mg, which out put gives you mg flash on the new sound module ? When I put an led into any of the sound module spare rc outlets and toggle select mg sound ( no 4) it's either solid on or off with no mg rapid flash.
Been conducting more running trials today and all is well, photos tomorrow.

Hi Phil
Boxing clever
I've not had much to do with the Benidini V2 yet, but I think the flash is programmable, In the instructions that's on line, it says "permanent, momentary or flashing mode adjustable". You may need to hook up to the lap top.
Come back TB5 all is forgiven.
Just wired up the machine gun co axe flash on the Cent with a 2mm fibre optic to a trusty TB5. I've left a 1mm or so of the 2mm fibre optic over hanging the muzzle, like Tamiya do. The illumination is so much better.
The Cent looks great and sounds great.

Thanks for an exceptionally interesting and informative build log! I know how much time it takes to write something half decent, but you have gone far beyond that. Thank you so much!
