Happy New Year

they work ok.
My Photobucket has gone back to how it was before,I think someone must have realised
what a mess they had mad of the latest upgrade attempt.
Cheers

Hello Phil,
Your built looks nice, I don't remember the deck being in two parts, But there has been a lot of time go passed since I put mine together. My book says to have a gap of 16.5 mm, My micro is in dec. I have to conver mm to dec. to. I was going to use a feeler gage to measure ttat gap.But these are all too thick. The thinnest one being 254mm =.010 thousands. So 16.5 must be very thin. My drive sprocket will be out passed the drive shaft by 1/8" or more. How did you hold the cone bolts in ? The cap just sits there right ?
And the lift that you are using is a trans. lift ? One of those would be so nice to have.
Thanks
Greeting from Dan

Phil's tiger is the new release Tiger. Since the 2010 mid tiger the kits come with a 2 piece deck. The 2007 release Late tiger and previous tiger releases had a one piece deck. The rear hatches just fitted on top but were then too high. Many have split the rear deck and lowered to the correct position. There is a detailed post on the subject.

Hi Dan
Like John said there is quite a few differences with the 2012 Tiger1
After lowering my rear deck supports,I kept my 2 parts of the Deck fixed together
so it all lifts off in one go.
The measurement of 16.5mm you mentioned is just over 5/8.
Your Sprocket looks about right in your photo.
The shaft on the 2012 Tiger1 is drilled and tapped,so I just adapted the screw to
look like a cone bolt,it is just pinched up and a bit of"Marmite"on the threads as
a mild retainer :)
My Lift is a "Clarkes Strong Arm",When Launch day comes,I will turn it round towards
my patio doors and drive off down the slip way, sorry I mean ramps :)
Cheers
Phil

Grand building work Phil, I am looking forward to a 'line up' of your armour in the spring.....will be very impressive. I expect you are going to the Armortek open day.
All being well, we ( thats me and her ladyship, who wants me to sell my Comet) will be there.....quite looking forward to meeting everyone.
I have made progress on the 'recoil' front. I am following Olaf's conversion on his Jagdpanther. I was able to purchase a short length of mild steel angle, which will hold the Armortek servo. I am using the inner mantlet and barrel pivot as the 'recoil bearing'....I will post photo's as I go.....Mick

Yes I hope we do get a nice sunny spring and a lot better summer,
but I'm sure the government will tax us on it :)

Hi PHil,

wonderful details you have added, especially the ammoboxes are looking good. Maybe an acrylic glas turret roof to display these details is an option :!: :!: :!:

Hi Gunter and Bodo
Thanks for the nice coments :D
Yes its a shame to cover them, but on the good side, you can see a lot through
the Cupola and loaders hatches, without the crew there.
John took some photo's of his, from inside the turret and with the roof on and it looked
very good.
I will have to have a go when I have it all fitted out.
Cheers
Phil
