Hi Mick
The only difference I can see at the elevation motor plug,is that you have the
Yellow/Green connected to the Red from the motor, which is shown the opposit way
in the Manual Page 15 and a quick look in my Tiger.
Cheers
Phil

Hello Phil, thanks for the reply. I have tried swapping these leads over....the motor will only run one way....moving the stick to the right starts the motor....the limit switch stops the motor, as it should. I tried swapping the limit switch...no joy. It's all very strange as the elevation motor worked fine on the bench. I have checked all the leads for security...all ok. Is it possible to open the limit switch?
Could it be the TX?...... I have my elevation on the left hand stick,Mick

appropriate limit for that direction aswell :?:

Yes Phil, working ok on the bench....I thought I may have disturbed a lead somewhere, so I checked all of these.....Rx etc,. I had wondered if the loom connector was not fully home....I have no strength in my old fingers. I can't push the connector fully together.....I think the contact is 'made'.....Mick

Hi Mick
You mentioned taking off and moving 3 leads in the loom socket.
Did you do that after the successfull bench test and it stoped working after that.
If so the possibility is that you might have put the connections back wrong.
A quick sudgestion fo you if you can get at your Comets loom and do a drawing of where
each colour goes to,taking extra note where the black ones go.
If you can remember which 3 you moved you might only need to double check them 3.
Hope that might help you.
Cheers
Phil

Hello Phil, thanks for that.....I will PM a layout of the plug/socket...to see if I have reconnected the wrong way round. My Comet loom is way down in the hull...I have checked with the Comet loom, and my Jagd' looks the same....
Leave it until after the holiday.......Mick

Hi Mick
I made a simple drawing of the way my Tiger Loom and Limits are wired up,so that you
can check against yours to see if anything doesnt look right,
You will need to disconnect the loom plug and use a multimeter to identify the limit
Black wires.
Hope it helps you out
Cheers
Phil

Hello Phil thank you for your reply. That all looks to be the same as my layout. The only point I now need to cross check is the numbers on the black leads. On the plug side with the limit switches, the numbered black leads are like this......

Yellow/Green Black 4
Black 7 Black 3
Black 6 Black 2
Black 5 Black 1

To limit Switches

Hi Mick
Just checked my numbers for you
Yellow/Green to Elevation Motor Black
Black 2 to Elevation Motor Red

My Four Limit wires refer to my drawing
Black 4 to top of Down Limit
Black 3 to bottom of Down Limit

Black 7 to Top of Up Limit
Black 1 to Bottom of Up Limit

So there is no connection to the centre terminals of each limit and all other Black
wires 5 and 6 are for blank firer.

My limit switches are fitted as shown.
But Blacks 3 and 4 go to one Limit and Blacks 1 and 7 to the other,if looking at
them on your bench.
Hope that helps you out,Good Luck with it.
Cheers
Phil

Hello Phil, my limit switches appear to be the same as yours, and the blank firer is correct......although I did move three leads from the socket.....I was careful in replacing them. I would accept I may have mixed these up....In this present configuration the motor will not run....either way. Everything else works....so I am just going back into the tank workshop....to fire the main gun, in frustration....Mick

Hi Mick
Your wires at the Limits are correct but not at the socket where you moved them
I am just going to see if I can get you a good close up of my Loom connectors and
get back to you.
Can you remember which ones you moved?
Cheers
Phil

Hello Phil, thank you for all you patience and perseverance......
I now have the Loom Plug and Socket leads in the right order......
The motor runs one way and stops by pressing one limit switch.....
The motor will not reverse, I have tried moving the limit switch leads.....
I don't want to disturb the leads already corrected.
The only other unit to check is the Auxiliary Module.

Could you tell me if the Auxiliary Module leads are correct....
This is how mine are fitted. On the spade connectors from left to right.
Blue Brown Yellow White
The white plug with the green dot, left to right
Black Green Red Purple.

I have not moved any of these leads......Mick
