Hi Mick,

They have always been those colours :- Green = negative, Red = Positive and Blue = signal. I would imagine that the recoil is as you say.

The various manufacturers wiring colours are:

Armortek:

RC Signal - Blue
5V Supply - Red
0V Supply - Green

Futaba:

RC Signal - White
5V Supply - Red
0V Supply - Black

Spektrum/JR:

RC Signal - Orange
5V Supply - Red
0V Supply - Brown

Savox servos follow the Spektrum/JR colour coding and Armortek have no control over that, hence the difference in the colours.

Hello Dennis and Adrian, thank you for your replies. I easily get confused these days. I have never really given much though to colour coding. I tend to follow the instructions (pictures) it's lazy I know....I must take the time to learn these simple rules.

I hereby lay claim to the smallest tank workshop......and yes, I am standing by the wall....on a stool. The electronics are coming along, and fit well within the upper hull. Every move I make, connecting leads, disconnecting leads.....I play the tank 'sounds'.....boom.....yessssss......Mick

Hello Phil, no, This room (as you know) is the agreed 'compromise' for a very large Jagdpanther in a small bungalow. I am happy in my room, with the occasional mug of tea, the sound of a tank starting up etc, life is good.
Your Tiger is a real beauty.....a professional build mate. When,(if) the warmer weather arrives, I will attempt the camouflage myself. Makes for a very realistic finish.

Hello, I am working on the electrical layout for my Jagdpanther. I am about to install the elevation/slew motors. Yesterday, all the system worked fine.
I have a problem.......
This morning, I connected the turret loom.
I switched the Tx on, I connected the batteries, I pressed the momentary 'on/off' switch on the end of the Power Module. The system came 'alive'. I checked the 'sounds'. Everything worked, including the elevation/slew motors.
I tried to turn off the 'on/off' switch on the end of the Power module. The electrics would not turn off.
I can only turn the power off, by disconnecting the power supply.I have checked all the various leads/connections etc, they seem to be ok. As soon as I connect the batteries the electrical system clicks, and starts up, I just cannot switch it off using the momentary on/off switch ....any thoughts.....Mick
I have tried again, the green light on top of the Power Supply Module comes on, and goes off....the electrics will still not switch off....mick

Hello again, I have unscrewed the screw, and lifted the cover off the Power Supply Module, all the fuses are intact, and I have five red lights on. When I press the switch on the end of the unit...the green light comes on.....then when I press it again the green light goes of.....however the 'power' stays on...... Mick

The push button operates a relay inside the module.

It sounds like the main relay on your power supply module has stuck. This can sometimes happen. Remove the lid from the module and you will see a black box about 1 1/4" cube at the right hand end. Give it a firm tap with the ends of your fingers, and it should release. If you have no luck, let us know and we will arrange a replacement.

Hello, I am fitting the elevation motor, using the Turret Loom.
I am only able to rotate the elevation motor in one direction......
I have not fitted the limit switches.
I did however remove and replace the connections on three leads in the loom socket, as I wanted to run the elevation motor without using the limit switches.
I believe I have replaced the coloured leads in the correct order in the socket.....
I have checked that the connections are in the correct position, by matching the colours with my 'Comet' loom.
Could it be the Tx?.....is it possible to run the elevation motor without using the limit switches?
Any help would be appreciated......Mick

Hello Mick

The limit switches are wired normally closed. This means that you can not run the elevation motor without them connected to complete the circuit. If yours will run in one direction then you have something wrong. We always send them out pre-connected to the turret loom to avoid this confusion. Post us a photo so that we can see whats going on.

hello mark, thank you for your reply.....here are the limit switches, I have changed the Armortek plug and socket, as I find them sharp and difficult to pull apart. I will post the loom plug/socket next.
