Enjoying this part of the Jagdpanther build, it is a new experience for me.....I have cut an extension plate to relocate the elevation motor. This will also add support to the recoil steel angle angle bracket.

Hello, is that small raised 'lump' shown at the end of the Armortek pen, on the slope of the mantlet some sort of lifting device.....???? Thank you.

hello michael, i added this part to my mantlet, shaped a small piece of metal to fit then drilled and tapped a hole to hold in place, it could be a lifting bracket, i found some good photos of it on the net, regards simon manning.

Hello Simon, thanks for your reply....I could only think the raised bump to be a means of lifting the inner mantlet, by hook and crane. I will follow your advice.....Mick

Hello, I would like to ask a question regarding my electronic control system. I have a Futaba 7c Tx and matching Rx. I have followed the instructions in setting up 'The Bench Assembly'.
As I am building the Jagdpanther variant there is no turret turn.....
With the Tx, Rx and batteries all connected, the system works as follows.....
Left hand motor working on left stick, forward and reverse. All ok.
Right hand motor working on right stick, forward and reverse. All ok.
Turret turn 'Slew' on right hand stick, side to side. All ok.
Elevation motor, runs 'constantly' .......no control on left hand stick, side to side. B is connected to channel 4.
The Elevation motor will however, switch off/on, using the 'G' switch on top of the Tx.
Slight hint of desperation creeping in.....tried and tried to resolve this issue.
Thanks in hope....Mick

Hi Mick
Just answered your PM
The Elevation motor should be connected to the white plug with the single
black and single yellow/green cable.
Cheers
Phil

Restful night....after a mind numbing day, problem solved. Drive motors, Slew motor, elevation motor, all working correctly. What a magical place the Forum is, to be sure.
Thanks Phil, spot on.
I have laid out the 'The Bench Assembly' on the dinning room table. I have obtained all the relevant permissions.
Labeled the motors, batteries, modules, etc,. as with my Comet build.....helps my disoriented brain.

Very neat. What size are those batteries? At least the tank is not on the table.

Hello John, neat and tidy is the name of the game.
![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
The batteries are from Hardware Express......12v 28amp x 2.
Slightly larger than the Comet batteries. The Jagdpanther can take the extra weight.
I have loaded the tank onto the table previously.....just as long as you ask the wife first....or wait until she is out.

Keep her sweet. I think the trail of metal shavings I leave everywhere is the most annoying. I hope to have everythin moved to a new bright and airy workshop by May. No more tanks in the house. Also sorting out the transport issues. No more trying to fit the Tiger into a mini. Looking forward to getting space to work and display models properly.

Thanks John, lucky man....having a workshop.
Now, question time.....I have completed the 'bench assembly wiring'. The recoil is wired in, everything works fine. I followed the advice regarding the 'three way switch' and changed the channel 5/6 over, at the receiver end. No problems.
I want to link my Steve Winstone M/G into the system.....the M/G is sound 5 on the Benedini sound. With the recoil using the M/G socket/plug on the Amplifier.....where do I connect/link the M/G plug????
