I am covering the gravel on my property with decomposed granite.

Back inside table is a perfect fit. I am waiting for a small motorcycle jack to get delivered next to boost it up off the table.

Table looks great. I'd be curious to see the motorcycle jack.Brian Ostlind wrote: ↑Sat Nov 10, 2018 8:09 pmBack inside table is a perfect fit. I am waiting for a small motorcycle jack to get delivered next to boost it up off the table.
I have crushed granite on some of my property but it's 3/4 inch and too large to drive in without having the tracks pick it up and get stuck in the running gear. I think 1/4 inch or smaller crushed stone would work. Sand would be the best.

Inspection and alignment after one hours driving time. I am putting a washer under the wheel retaining piece on the hub so the last roadwheel has 1mm of float. I am also going to re install the right sprocket a little wider out. See the paint wear on the inside teeth of the sprocket and the face of the front inner roadwheel indicates the tracks are pushing in on the wheel and sprocket. The idlers are wearing evenly so it’s probably correct.

i did a little test drive and it wasn’t any better so I might go the other way with things and see how it goes.

Heading out for the next test drive. I think I have all the issues worked out. I’ll post a video.

I think I got it all set up nicely now but my batteries died lol.
...the sad slide down the hill was weird the red light on the remote start was blinking as it rolled down. Is that some kind of feedback from the motor?
When you tow the tank do you want the remote start on or off with the batteries charged or dead?

I drove some more now I’m taking it apart because I think my sprocket needs more chamfer.

I am no expert, but looking at that last video gave me the impression that the tracks could be loose. Maybe experimenting with tensioning the track with the idler adjustment or maybe removing a track link.
Just a thought.

Vince, there are a lot of variables and right now I am moving ROADWHEELS out with a crowbar from inside the hull. When I get them lined up better I will tighten the track.

Don't forget that when you add the turret the weight will compress the suspension and make the tracks looser.
Adrian.
