Getting exciting now . Who's going to be on the nail ?
Whatever it is, it's bound to be good. And Interesting comment about re-run's of older models up to current standard. That's definitely a real positive too.
It would be nice to see a Matilda II. I can pressure my friend to by one so I can stalk it with the Tiger....
Keep watching.
Chris.

FT17 is my guess, small, not German and lots of different operators (including the Germans).
Whatever it is , it will please some and disappoint others.

Steve
Welllll you could argue it's WW2 with the Germans and French using them.
No, you couldn’t . It’s a 1917 design. Just because it survived into WW2 (with the French and Polish armies, and some limited use of captured ones by the Germans) doesn’t make it a WW2 tank. The Rolls-Royce Armoured Car wasn’t WW2 either. And the Centurion, while designed in 1943, wasn’t a WW2 tank either.
We’ve been down this road before. It’s about as divisive as Dunkelgelb .

Ouch..it appears my wee giggle may have touched a nerve, I'll stop being hopeful for the FT-17 crew then and look forward to something else! I know it isn't going to be...but Comet, Comet, Comet!
But, I think all signs point to a Panzer IV.

Hi Chris.
Missed the bit about “not WW1”
No FT17 then.

The M24 Chaffee has been mentioned quite a bit over the last few years and i think had been shortlisted at one time.
That would be a pretty good candidate.
Cheers

I would love a re release of the King Tiger but I’m sure it’s not in the cards for a few more years at least.

Speaking of Panzer IV's, Youtube has clearly been listening to me:

Well if it's a Panzer IV or M24 Chaffee I'm going to have to buy it! Then it's time to figure how to pay for it? I do have two kidneys, maybe I can sell one? LOL
I'm very happy with the Pershing, had a great time building and running it. Waiting for spring because all we have on the ground now is ice, and the tanks don't run well on that because my property is not flat so they just slide around.
Can't wait for Monday's announcement, hopefully it's early in the day (in the UK) so when I wake up here in the States I can log on a be surprised.

I would love a Panzer IV.
The example in the tank museum is an odd one as it was buit as an ausf.D and then later upgraded with more armour and the KwK 40 L/43 gun.
It is actually classed as a D/H
Cheers

Of the models which have been in the running before, M-24, CVR(T) and Matilda II seem good bets but Pz IV would make a lot of sense. Choices….
If it’s got a “gun” sadly that rules out the M-42 Duster - it’s got two.

I think the CVR(T) would be pretty hard to resist for a lot of people tbh.
It would go very well the the Series 1 and the Chieftain.
I had one of the Action Man Scorpions as a kid in the 1970's and always loved that AFV.
