Hello,
here is my last update.
I started make the light side skirts used at mark 2A7V. CV0601 and CV0602 parts are designed new and printed in aluminum.








Next step was finishing the head lights ...










... the indicator


... and the frontside SPECTUS II sensor head. An ESP32-Cam module is implemented and the life stream is shown at the monitor in front of the driver and sent via WLAN hotspot to my smartphone




The driving motors are in place


And last but not least I started modifying the turret base for the interior.

Beyond my reachable imagination!!!

Hi all,
I have started to modify the turret. First of all I removed some material from the turret base for a better integration of the interior. I assume this was more than 1 kg. Furthermore, I placed some borings for the placement of the turret fron armor. In the meanwhile my 3D printer was producing some parts for gun.
Modified gun with interior parts placed at the turret base. The sliding breech mechanism is still not in place.

For the gun I replaced all parts of the kit to reduce the weight. I used an aluminum tube 45mm x 2,5mm x 370mm and placed a printed part at the front and the breechblock at the rear end. The bigger tube is printed in ABS too.


The machine gun I had designed many years ago by measuring a machine gun from Dragon in order to design a bracket for the machine gun at my Wiesel TOW in 1:6 scale. Now this was a first try to reproduce the machine gun by myself. An it worked well.

I always am thinking of adding two rear sight mirrors , a MG 3 machine gun on the turret's roof , and two correct-shape towing cables. Have you thought them too?

Hi all,
my last update is long time ago. First I was working on some software for the displays and then I started designing th modification for the turret. This was very time consuming ...
Here are the fistst results:

the rear turret is a complete new design made of milled and bent alu parts and some printed ABS parts


the turret will get its own power supply. The main switch is placed inside of one of the boxes


at the rear side the the ice grabbers (new designed and printd in ABS) will be placed

next I designed the new gun mantlet introduced with Leopard 2A5


the elevation servo is placed at the left side. It works with 12V and can operate 45 kg, should be enough for the gun

a microcontroller is places in each of these ECUs to controll the dispalys and the PERI

Not sure how to interpret this. I just hope it's a joke. Most of us here are nowhere close to Günther's league, but have great fun with our models anyway.

Can I please ask you a tiny detail. What material did you use to make the black step pads, is this sanding paper? I am thinking about this to make it as thin as possible but don't have a solution yet.

Hi André,
yes I used 180er sanding paper. The contour is printed to a self-adhesive paper to back side of the sanding pager. Then the step pads are cutted out and the self-adhesive paper is removed before gluing the pads to the model.

Hi Chang,
I am still not certain if I place the machine gun to the loaders hatch. I plan to rework the look of towing cables however, these will then not be able to tow the tank. The mirrors will be added, at least in fold down position.
