Evening all.
Been playing around with the body panels today. The CSK screws are going to have to be let in/ground down or filed, what ever.
Still its starting to look the part, its still a L******er S1 (I'm not counting*s):-

PS Those leather straps are going to become webbing when I find the right stuff- 6mm webbing

Nice pictures Charles, starting to take shape, Doesn't look like a lot of leg room. Like the quad, looks like Eddies going to be a contortionist to get his feet on the pedals, are there pedals?

Today. We were mainly milling the tailgate frame, which was nice.
Having said that it would/could be reasonable to file the frame down too.
I am going to to take off just a gnats whatsit tomorrow as I want 2mm thickness on the milled area.
Confused: Follow up photos, to follow, if you follow.

Hi Folks.
Hope you are all having a good weekend.
Due to the heavy dose of wet stuff this week I had a tidy up of tools and things in't garage. With me, that means I find something, then go off in a different direction, well this happened. I found some EKP slotless screws.
I wonder, what to do?
Old L********* S1's have a smooth tailgate:-
So we went soldering, great fun. I know the hinges are the wrong way round but I wasn't prepared to rebuild the whole thing, so tough, it stays
The yellow marker is to highlight that these are welded on to the chassis (use more slotless screws/filler, you can see how distracted I can become) but bolted to the upper bodywork.

Just a small update on no.28.
Found some faux webbing on *bay. I tried leather, however I think the webbing more correct. It could be slacker, but I am sure it will stretch with use.
Might just leave the button screws as they are behind the wheels: Unless there are objections from the S1 fan club

I think it looks great, though it's the first time I've seen this type axle tethering other than on something on "Customer states" or "just rolled in" on Youtube

Good evening Fan.
Fun day today, S1. No.28 has been out for a run around the tank track
We did test the lecky bits this morning, some issues occurred, which I have passed onto management (AT), so will not go into details.
The end of day results are;-
1/ 2/
3/ Hope everyone has had an equally productive weekend, despite the weather.

Just a quick entry to say the electrical issues are sorted and we have fully functioning sound system.
Something that did occur was the steering was the wrong way round,(go left is turn right & go right is turn left). Did it on both "rudder" & "aileron", so simply reversed the servo.
If the weather is with us tomorrow, we will have a run out.

Found somewhere for the electrics to go:-
I wonder if the huge on/off switch could be changed, push button perhaps?
I will make a lead up to link the battery compartment to the engine bay and hopefully everything will be out of sight.

Joking a side, access to the battery should be good and easy to remove if using a lipo, I always charge my batteries outside the model for safety reasons
