Never tried a complete tank on a commercial flight but I did bring a model tank transmission as carry on from Germany one year.
Got the opportunity to meet with German airport security
that time. I successfully convinced them what it was and made it home lugging this thing, more than 12kg worthβ¦
I doubt Iβll either be willing or allowed to do that again..

Today's instalment from TankBuilders YouTube Channel is also from 2016, this time featuring one of the best Armortek runners, the A34 Comet. Enjoy.

That looks superb Stephen.
I have never been to the bovington museum but to be honest I prefer the models to the real things. I think it is because you can see so much more from one perspective. Anyway I have booked our tickets for Sunday and I hope to spend most of my time with you guys
We did have our tanks delivered to a show by C-17 one year...

There's still a need to get the numbers up for this - we need more than just the 'Usual Suspects'
I've been talking to Kian about this. With regard to the Paying Public, they obviously like to see our finished models running around. But we also get a steady stream of enquiries about how they work and, most importantly, how easily they go together. So it would be interesting to set up an 'Engineers Corner', for which we need a range of part-built models ........
So, if anyone would like to come but only has a half-built model, please have a chat to Kian about it (I'm sure a photo or two would help). It obviously needs to be more than a pile of bolts - a chassis with wheels but no tracks would probably be fine. And you need to be able to explain your build to interested people. There'll be enough of us to help carry things out of the back of cars ........
Think about it. It all helps to explain what Armortek models are all about, and hopefully generate sales for the company (without which we don't get any new toys).
All the best,
Chris

Appears I am late to the party, but all being well I can bring along my Hetzer on the Sunday (and any other day if anyone drops out).

Another blast from the past from my YouTube Channel, TankFest 2019. Who was to know it was the last one before the Great Leap Backward, ie Covid?

Only 10 days to go before TankFest starts!
Over the next day or two we will be sending emails with more details out to everyone who is down to attend the event. Fingers crossed for some decent weather and a fun weekend.

Work commitments prevent my son attending Tankfest on Saturday, as itβs completely sold out does anyone want the ticket at face value. I presume I can just email it to you .
