WOW!! Beautiful suspension hull housings, swingarms, and steel wheel hubs! Can't wait to get it!

I've already got the Krylon semi gloss white for the interior and ordered in the OD paint I like (34087). Ordering a few little detail parts and the JB Weld Super Weld glue for the tires. I'm going to build it without the side dust shields and no fenders because I like to see the tracks.

Right now I'm bored, doing 'tiny touchups' on my tanks (and working HARD soaking my liver). I'm ready for another Armortek build! It's gonna be a LONG WINTER looking forward to getting it!

First photo shows the the inner drive case mounted at the rear of the tank.

We have made a teak to our designs and will probably implement this on all tanks going forwards:
- in the past we have just relied on loctite to keep the driven gear away from the hull side. Now we have added a brass bush that will stop the driven gear from moving too far back to start machining the aluminium.

Pershing Turret:

The first operation involves the machining of the base of the turret. Lots of probing needs to be done to ensure that the casting is level and we know what the dimensions are before we start. One issue with castings is that there can be variations between them, so this step is vital to the final outcome.

The second operation is on a 5AX - there are soooooo many planes that we need to machine on. Again care needed because the exterior dimensions of the castings can vary.

I agree! I’m very excited for my first Armortek kit, after lusting for years on King Tigers, Tiger 1s, to be buying this kit has me thrilled.

Still want a future King Tiger however . But I’ll be having a lot of fun in the meantime.
