Hello,
Working on the 251 with pak 40 gun.
I have a question what the grub screw does? On the manual its a M4 grub but the hole is M5?
If i look in to the hole you see a part of the gear, so you it is not for fixing the gear otherwise the gear will not turn.
best regards Yves

Does it not go into CM0249 to hold it onto CJ0441 ?
It looks like there is a hole in the gear casing so you can access it once the gear is in place.
Adrian.

Thats my guess too - the hole in the case is to access the grub, which holds the gear CM0249 onto the shaft.

Thats righgt.
You have to mount all parts together. At the end you stick the M4 grup with help the tool throu the 5mm hole and fix it tight.

Verry nice work Yves!
But I think about the off-road capability and curve radius. With one engine, the turning radius becomes very large, especially since you put so much weight (PAK40) on the tracks. I would think about a solution with 2 motors. Even with my 251/9, the curve radius was too big.
If I would build one more, I would prefer a two engine solution.
In this building stage it is no problem to make this.

Hi Florian,
I'am gonna put some extra weight in the front of the 251,
2 motors would be better, i know a guy from Nederland, he was also in Overloon Kees V Rijswijk
and he change his 251 into two motor drive.
it is difficult to change it now into two motor drive, because i buy already the new Armortek modules and there
is not mutch room in the halftrack. i put the batteries in the front, i have a new update smoker but even that will not fit in the front anymore.
So i am gonna take the early smoker out of my stug and put this one in the 251 ( fan is on the back ) and put the new update smoker ( fan on top )
in my stug ( have more space there )
Best regards Yves

Good morning Yves,
I hope you're successful. I like the look of 251. Maybe I can see it next year in Overloon?!
Cheers
Florian
