Yes it is almost finished. About 3 more weeks. I will install the loads of ammo etc.in the rear and 4 German figures in the front. Then the canopy. I still need to build the two tracks. I will post more pics when it is complete.

Maybe you already knew what I thought : Only wish you haven't glued the 4 sprocket's rubber bands on.

Hello Guys,
The FAMO in finished!!
The tracks took 3 days to get running correctly. This model does not run as smoothly as the Panzer I built. The track links are so large they do not like it when you try to make a turn. They try to climb off the drive sprocket. Careful alignment of the road wheels, idler and sprocket are necessary. Further, I had to file more clearance on everyone of the 98 tracks links. The model now runs better but still is not happy when making turns.
I was hesitant to weather the canvas but finally decided to use weathering powders not textile paint. It is hard to see in the pictures but I am happy with the results.
The German figures and supplies in the cargo compartment really give the model the "real" look and the kids love them.

Now it is on to the King Tiger.
Here are a couple pictures of the Panzer, FAMO and the unopened boxes of the King Tiger. In the last photo you can see my lift table and ramp in the back round.
Big day today opening the KT boxes and dealing with all those packing peanuts.

May I ask a small question:

From one of your photo dated 11/May/2020, the two track tension bolts were adjusted in two different positions. Was that the final adjustment?

Can you tell me how many centimeters were outside the two M6 nuts? It seems quite a lot.

Hi Chang,
That picture was taken before I had even assembled the tracks. I measured the distance just now and it is:
Right hand side .750 or 1.9cm
Left hand side 1.125 or 2.86cm
The two sides are different because of the way the suspension arms fit one above the other. I struggled with the adjustment because the tracks want to bind and try to climb off the drive sprocket when trying to make a turn. I found that a tighter adjustment worked best.

That measurement was taken from the frame not the nut.
